The property was immaculate and had everything that I could possiby need. The host (Irene) was very helpful and always available. If I had any enquiries she responded immediately.The location was perfect - within minutes of the Acropolis and Agora and there were lots of restaurants and taverns on the doorstep. I stayed for 13 nights and I ate somewhere different every night! This was my first time in Athens and I have always wanted to see the Parthenon. The first time I saw it was from the rooftop terrace - and the view was amazing! Thank you Irene, for being part of such an incredible experience!

I would give this place a 6 if I could. It is by far the cleanest VRBO I have ever encountered. Irene met us at the door and explained everything. It was really helpful after a long flight. There is a grocery store within a couple of blocks and everything else you could possibly need. A

The balcony was scenic although stairs up tricky. Emergency exit. We didnt need tge air conditioning but it was there if we needed it. Irene was a great friendly host.

Superbe localisation pour visiter l’acropole et l’Agora. Un des meilleurs cartier d’Athènes pour manger le restaurant Cinapos en face a été incroyable! L’appartement est fonctionnel, extrêmement propre. Le rooftop est accessible par des petits escaliers étriqués dans la cours intérieure de l’immeuble, l’escalade vaut la peine, la vue est imprenable pour apprécier la beauté de l’acropole et plus!

Location was great, but the rooftop was a disappointment

We chose this property because of the location and the neighborhood. In addition, we chose the property because of the description of the rooftop view of the acropolis. However, in the description, it did not state that the metal staircase to get to the rooftop was three stories, long, very narrow. My husband is 6 foot tall and in excellent shape, but had a very difficult time maneuvering the winding, narrow staircase. We did not ever go to the top to view the acropolis because if this , but instead went to neighboring restaurants with a rooftop view. Don’t book this place for the rooftop view.

Irene was an excellent host. Very personable and easy to communicate with. She provided great suggestions for restaurants and places to go. This location is very close to evening entertainment and an easy walk to the Acropolis. The rooftop views are phenomenal.

Great Stay

Check in was awesome, Irene was able to meet me and show me the apartment and hand me the keys. The apartment was immaculate and well appointed with everything I would need. The rooftop view of the Parthenon is unbeatable. The neighborhood is great! Plenty of restaurants, bakeries, markets abd more. It’s a five minute walk to Thiseio Station. Quick walks to Ancient Agora and to Philopappos Hill for great views and some interesting sights. Amazing apartment in a great neighborhood with quick access to all of Athens.

Location, location, location

This apartment was lovely and in the perfect location to see all the amazing sights in Athens. Irene is a gem - she met us upon arrival, had many great recommendations of places to visit and eat, and was very easy to get a hold of. Her apartment is a delight. We had access to a rooftop patio, as well as two other outdoor patios where we spent time reading or enjoying drinks. The location is very close to everything - we were able to take breaks at the apartment in between exploring the city. The air conditioning is wonderful - it was very hot when we were there but we were very comfortable. I would strongly recommend and I would book this location again when visiting Athens.

Best place to stay in Athens

Irini was a wonderful Host. She met us early and helped us get in and showed us around the apartment and explained the unique things there. She told us where shopping and best restaurants were. The Acropolis is view able from the rooftop. The people on the street and in the businesses were friendly and helpful. It was a wonderful "neighborhood" feeling

Amazing

House is easy to find and is easy walking distance to so many amazing neighborhoods and historical areas. Irene is incredibly friendly and willing to answer any questions and give suggestions on places to go. She even helped us to get a taxi on our last day. Apartment is extremely clean and homey.

Central and quiet apartment

It really is an Ideal house at the foot of the Acropolis

Location was excellent. Easy walking distance to all the sights. Irene was very nice. She provided us beach towels for our visit to Lake Vouliagmeni (otherwise very expensive to rent towels at lake). We arrived several hours early of checkin time so she graciously let us leave our luggage while she finished preparing home. She gave us the keys and a tour of the home and restaurant recommendations. We went to lunch as she finished prepping and we returned at 230 pm and went straight in to a beautiful “homey” home that was clean and ready for our stay. After a day of touring we came home, turned on the AC. As the house cooled down ( which it did relatively quickly) we climbed up the stairs and enjoyed an amazing view of the acropolis with cooling breezes. This is a hidden gem of a place to stay in Athens. If/when I return to Athens I hope Irenes place is still available to rent. (If you like cats, the cafe down the block is cute… see photo). This was a mother-daughter trip

Im not a cat lover but even I enjoyed the cat antics at this cafe!

Simply Perfect in Thissio!

Our stay at Irene's property in Athens was an absolute dream, earning every one of its five stars!The Thissio neighborhood itself is a gem, offering truly stunning views of the Acropolis that are even more breathtaking in person. We spent hours happily exploring the area on foot, with incredible sights and experiences around every corner.Irene was an exceptional host – very responsive and incredibly helpful from booking to checkout. Her apartment was nothing short of perfect. It was spotlessly clean and wonderfully well-stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable and convenient stay. We truly felt at home.We can't recommend Irene's VRBO enough for anyone visiting Athens. If you're looking for an ideal location, fantastic amenities, and a superb host, this is the place!

Irene was wonderful, the location amazing. I don’t think we could find a better location. The place was clean & comfortable. Great rooftop & balcony seating. Half a block to rooftop restaurants overlooking the Acropolis & a grocery store 1/2 a block in the other direction. We had a lovely stay.
