"A wonderful 4 nights spent at Romden farm, couldnt have been bette. It was great, just to open the back door and walk for miles with the dogs, come back chill out and relax in the hot tub in the evenings. At the big pond we enjoyed feeding the fish and watching the barn owl hunt at dusk. The barn was clean, comfortable and the perfect place to get away from everything. The owners made us feel so welcome we will definitley be back in the future."

"Lovely hosts. The cottage was clean, comfortable and very well equipped, don’t worry if you’ve forgotten anything! Has been decorated since photographs were taken so now more country cottage than Scandinavian. Terrace and outside of property very dusty but it is a farm yard and the weather was extremely hot. "We stayed here as a stopover before going to Le Shuttle early the next day. Great location for a stopover, check-in was smooth and easy, rooms very clean and nicely decorated…hotel rooms had a refurb in Sep ‘25. Good pub food as well. Early checkout was also easy with a drop key box for those leaving before reception is staffed. All in all for the price point we would definitely work this stop off into our travel plans for future France trips"

"I'll start off with the positives. - Stunning view of the lake - Welcoming staff. - Clean Negatives - Dated rooms. The bathroom sink was cracked and held together with some form of yellow/brown epoxy. Kind of puts you off initially. - Shower had poor pressure and the shower head bracket did not support it properly. - The lighting in the bathroom is on the dim side. - Breakfast took a while to get served, we even had to ask for an ETA. Once it was served it was underwhelming. - Pillows are not comfortable. Overall it served its' purpose for our stay"

"They use an older form of key card to unlock the door. It's a swipe card, it did not swipe which ment returning to reception to get it programmed again, very inconvenient when I had 3 bags with me. Everything else was good, including the breakfast. Just one thing I don't like is taking a deposit to cover any expenses, I am always worried that they or I will forget and I don't get my money back."

"Hotel was very clean and well maintained. The employees went out of their way to be helpful and friendly. The bar was so quaint and cool, good food also. The breakfast buffet in the morning was outstanding. The hotel is ocean front with great views and close to city center. It’s also walkable to the castle. Just a great hotel!"
