The cottage was clean and well appointed. We enjoyed the quiet, peaceful tranquility and beautiful mountain view. The cottage was minutes from downtown Asheville but felt high and nestled in the woods. The host was great and was helpful with questions prior to our stay.

Quick access to downtown. Neat, well stocked and a very nice view. Great for a couple or small family with older kids. Loft wouldn't be perfect for very young kids.

Sunrise Cottage

My wife and I had a very nice stay at Sunrise Cottage.The property was very clean with up to date furnishings and appliances. The location was quiet with a beautiful deck to sit and relax overlooking the mountains and valleys. There was easy access to downtown, shopping and the Blue Ridge Parkway. We enjoyed hiking as well as an entire day at the Biltmore Estate and Gardens including diner and wine tasting. We highly recommend a stay here.

Great AVL stay!

Great cabin like atmosphere close to downtown and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Super clean and quiet neighborhood. We had a little trouble finding the property as we arrived late in the evening and there were no lights on the house address.

Overall great property. Watching the sunrise on the deck was delightful! My only comment is about the Yonder team who manages the property. First of all, you need to sign a 21-pages renting agreement with a lot of fine lines. Feels like you have to sign your life away for a 2 nights stay! Also, they are very rigid with their policies. My only request was asking if I could get a late check out. The answer was no which I can understand but what was unpleasant is that they sent their cleaning team at 9:50am. By the way, they were in a run down car looking more like gangster style than a cleaning crew quite frankly. They parked behind our car, with their engine on, watching us pack our last luggage without getting out of their car nor saying anything. It felt threatening and unpleasant. Was it because it really takes more than 5 hours to prepare the place for the next gests or was it to be able to charge us extra if we were to check out at 10:05am vs. 10:00am? Anyways, all this to say I prefer places owned by hosts that are real people vs. those managed by large unhuman companies.

Surprise Cottage - Peaceful

The Surprise cottage was exactly as depicted in the VRBO listing. It is an adventure up the hill to get there, but what a beautiful setting! Peaceful, with great tree coverage, a nice-sized deck with a couple of Adirondack chairs, and a Mountain View in the distance. We chose to run around the area during the day, and cook our evening meals. The kitchen was set up with everything necessary to accomplish this, and we were very happy with it. There was a dual Keurig and Brew coffee system, and it also worked flawlessly. The place is nicely decorated and their paint colors work really well with the natural setting and the light from the many windows. There are also privacy shades and we felt very secure inside the Surprise Cottage. The bathroom is ample sized, with nice finishes, and a large modern shower. We brought haircare conditioner, otherwise, everything necessary was provided, and good quality. Nice stay, and a beautiful relaxing spot to getaway from the bustle of our daily lives. Thanks!

Great stay!

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was very clean and an enjoyable place to call home for a few days! Once we figured out to take the second neighborhood entrance the drive/hills were easier to navigate.

Splendid Cottage

Our family truly enjoyed our stay at this cottage. The neighborhood was gorgeous and the cottage cheerful. It was the perfect size for my husband and I and our two kids (aged 10 & 11). We never felt cramped with the well thought out floor plan. The bed was comfy and dresser helpful. The kids loved their stay in the spacious loft and appreciated the separate beds. Our host was extremely practical and thoughtful of how to stock the house. The kitchen had everything one would need to prepare meals. The washer/dryer (along with soap) were a lifesaver, especially after coming back from hiking and other activities. And thank you for the hairdryer with defuser attachments! There were other little things that we noticed and appreciated as well. We very much enjoyed our time at the cottage. The mountain, trees, and nature (birds, chipmunks, fireflies, and bear included) were exactly what we needed to recharge our souls. Thank you so much!

Nice getaway

This is a nice property. Close to downtown but doesn't feel like it's in Asheville. The size makes it cozy, and the views are great. My only criticism is that the neighborhood is very tight and it feels a little like you're right on top of the neighbors.

Relaxing

We enjoyed our stay. The cottage was very clean and all very comfortable. It was really great having laundry right there too! Loved the view and vicinity to Asheville. Just a little tricky to find at first but then we figured it out.
