Cannigione is one of the most beautiful towns in Gallura, in the north-east of Sardinia, bathed by the crystal-clear waters of the Gulf of Arzachena, in whose deep bay the port of Cannigione has been located since ancient times. A very popular tourist destination, in a central position compared to other tourist resorts in northern Sardinia and especially compared to the other beaches of the Costa Smeralda. From a climatic point of view, Cannigione is an excellent holiday resort, as it is sheltered from the strong north-easterly winds. The town centre runs around the Andrea Doria quay, overlooking the marina, one of the best equipped ports in the region. Here there are private boats that offer tours to the beautiful islands of the Maddalena archipelago and to the various bays of the Costa Smeralda.
