"Great Location. Breakfast quality poor. Was given a accessible room and when complained they said I was upgraded ..... hmmm not my idea of an upgrade and didn't like the use of an accessible room. Felt uncleam."

"Staff make the hotel. Had a bath tub toilet combo. Bath was extremely clean. Really pleased as thats how I judge cleanliness. Carpet in the room could have been vacummed more but bed clean, white sheets comfy, not even one stain. Impressed. Asked for a particular room my child is SEN, that was also given with no hassle (obviously within the price range booked). Really happy, kind staff especially room service the staff who delivered breakfast to room 248 on the 26 May. Its our second time staying. We switch between this hotel and Hilton. We will return. Side note parking is about £20 per day. Once you park, go inside the hotel and follow instructions. We enjoyed our stay."

"We stayed in 404 side sea view,I wouldn’t say the added cost for the side sea view was justified.The bathroom has been updated but the room not,a fan was on upon arrival and well received. We parked onsite which was a good idea as Brighton parking is ridiculous.The hotel is situated on the seafront further along towards Hove so ideal for the cricket as the county ground is 1 mile from the hotel,£6 one way for a taxi.overal would stay again for the money saved on parking."

Maldron Hotel Brighton City Centre

"We had a very quick check in despite being told we couldnt until 3pm so that was a nice surprise when we arrived early and got to our room in good time but Sadly for the price of a deluxe double room we didn’t get any breakfast included which we’ve never had happen before so unfortunately we had to get food outside to our preference but we did eat a very nice lunch Buddha bowl in the dining room area and was very tasty despite not having any grilled tofu which was on the menu but did not have (was told it was a new menu). Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Wanted to thank a certain lady who was very nice and helpful to us by the name of Annalise I believe or Anna for short. I would like to add if the hotel can display signs of asking customers to respect other guests sleeping during the night when returning back late and shouting and loud talking in the corridors it would be appreciated. Dont think we shall be back in Brighton for a good while now and will consider other alternatives with breakfast included (if vegan is available.) should we visit again."

Mercure Brighton Seafront Hotel

"Small room with no wardrobe or chest of drawers - just a random shelving unit with a foot long pole to hang clothes on. Ive stayed in a mercure before with small rooms, and just in case had booked a room with double and single bed so the single bed ended up with all our belongings on. £150 per night! Breakfast was also a problem. Hotel was busy and there were only 2 hot drinks machines. The set up for breakfast was too small for the number of guests staying."

"The staff were friendly. Our room was smelly and there was hair on the carpet. We were moved to a different room immediately, which we appreciated. This was a lovely room. We had dinner in the restaurant which was delicious. On arrival ( at 3pm), the corridor leading to our room was scattered with empty bottles, glasses and plates. There were dirty plates outside our room, too. Not a great first impression. We stayed for two night and our room was not cleaned during our stay. We were told that they were busy due to a wedding. I was not impressed as this is part of staying in a hotel. I appreciate that the hotel was busy but there was lots of queuing. We waited quite a while to check in and there was a long queue on both days to get into the restaurant for breakfast. It felt like the hotel was understaffed as even going to the restaurant for dinner took about 10 minutes of waiting to be seated. The staff were friendly and worked very hard."
