「Great place to stay for a few days rest and relaxation. The location is great for walks, dog walks, beach walks or just having a few days in a quiet location to chill.
The hotel manager (Caroline) and staff are incredibly helpful and attentive. The bar and restaurant are constantly busy with locals and visitors that makes for a great friendly atmosphere.
The food was exceptional. It is evident that it’s all home cooked and care and attention is given to taste and quality.

「Very cute lodging. This is a resort with individual cabins. Ours was right by a huge lake, tranquil and teeming with swans and waterfowl. A friendly swan greeted us when we parked.
Parking was very easy and right in front of our cabin, providing very easy access for our bags. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The little cabins were well stocked and clean, with heaters to protect from the cold/rain/wind. Love it and would 100% recommend. So cozy and nice.」

古い建物なので少々防音に問題はあるが、許容範囲内。
夏休みのピークシーズンでクリーニングサービスなどは臨時のスタッフが多かったのだろうが、訓練がよくい聞き届いていないように感じられた。レストランのスタッフも口の聞き方など横柄（ホスピタリティビジネスの意味を理解していない）。フロント以上のスタッフは問題なし。
朝食はまあまあ、夕食（３コースメニュー、コーヒー・紅茶つき）はお得感がある。メインは実物を見ながら選べるので安心 。町はリゾート地としてきれい にまとまっていて、干潟沿いの、Promenadeからの景色がよい。
Very relaxing lounge. I liked the hotel and therefore extended my stay to 3 nights. A little problem with services: I guess that a lot of temporary help were employed for the peak season, e.g. cleaning...
「From the first welcome to the final farewell, it was a joy to stay there. Substantive breakfasts, pet friendly, old manor house setting with great views. Good choice of relatively local (less than 10 miles) public houses for evening fare. Already hoping to get back there when next visiting the Lakes, which start only six miles north.」
「I was left on my own, worked out great, planned all my excursions to the lake district, ate when i wanted, slept in the day, if needed. Bike was safe in car park. En suite room. No complaints 5* cleaner was friendly, too!」
