Best home stay holiday yet

We had a great time at the property, the place is excellent. Given we had rain and temps of between 5-14 deg all weekend it was still a great warm place to come back to.

Luxurious Getaway

As 13 middle aged women who are well travelled we were blown away and so appreciative of the attention to detail of this property. Annie is an extremely responsive host and we didn’t want for anything. I just wished my own home was as well equipped as this luxury property. Sitting by the fire pit looking back on your magnificent home was a perfect finish to our Mudgee stay

Fantastic property and a beautiful, peaceful location. The house is huge, clean and has everything you need. The layout of the house is perfect with big bedrooms and a great kitchen, dining and tv area. The picnic area next to the river is amazing. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back.

Simply Stunning

This property was a dream to stay in. The pictures do not do justice of how beautiful and picturesque this property is! The host Annie was so lovely and helpful and provided everything you could need for a cozy stay. Would 100% stay again.

great home with stunning views

The house is in a beautiful location with views of the mountains and a nice creek on the property. The pool was great for the hot summer weather, the location was easy for wine tours (some wineries are right next door), and the house was large and spacious.

The house is amazing, so spacious, clean and beautiful! It's stocked with everything you could think of, including firewood, lawn games and all kitchenware.

Stunning property and amazing experience

AroonaLea is a spectacular property that really is built to cater for large groups excellently! Ample supply of fridge space, cookware and crockery, generous bed sizes in all rooms and no shortage of space and things to do on the property. Communication with our host (Annie) was excellent and they were also generous enough to accommodate a late checkout. We absolutely loved our stay here and would highly recommend it!

Annie’s place wash perfect. Had everything you need to cook and relax. Clean, modern with a beautiful view. Enough of everything including seating for the 13 of us.

Absolutely wonderful!

Our stay at Annie’s was amazing for my daughter’s hens weekend. The house was very well equipped, beautifully presented and the beds very comfortable. We found it spacious, easy to entertain in and overall a perfect destination for a group of 16 to stay at whilst visiting Mudgee and the wineries. We’d all love to return another time with our own families for a much longer stay - thank you Annie for having us!

Thanks for a lovely stay, it was a picturesque location with lots of area to walk and explore. loved the deck facing the mountains. A great home with amazing views. We were lucky enough to experience a beautiful sunrise and sunset . And we absolutely loved the fire, really warmed up the area. Our family felt so comfortable and at home there. Excellent Rural Escape

Gold Class standard in everything. Extremely well equipped. Beautiful house, lots to do both inside and areas to explore outside. The highlight was finding a wombat. No platypus though... The fire pit was well used during these cold nights. Thank you Annie.

AMAZING HOLIDAY GETAWAY - STUNNING LOCATION

Myself & my friends stayed at this beautiful property over the Christmas period & I honestly do not think the pictures on Stayz do it any justice! We like to go away as often as we can as a group of almost 20 usually & this home had more than enough room for everyone. It is hands down the most stunning place we have stayed, from the spacious bedrooms to the spectacular back garden view of the mountains. Our host Annie was so accommodating, helping with early check in, taking the extra step for a Christmas welcome when we arrived & to also be kind enough to leave a Christmas gift which was appreciated. Thank you Annie & we look forward to coming back to stay in the future!

Fabulous house for group stay

We’ve just had a wonderful stay at AroonaLea homestead. The house was perfectly set up for our 6 adult couples & we simply couldn’t fault it. And that’s high praise as we’ve stayed in many properties over the years. The bedrooms are beautiful with stunning country views & the large verandah was great for lounging & outdoor meals. The large kitchen was fully equipped with quality crockery & utensils & the labels on each cupboard made it so easy! The living areas are very spacious with multiple zones for a chat or just a quiet read. And we just loved having pre-dinner drinks down by the river under the trees. We highly recommend this house for a large group. Thank you Annie for being an excellent host & providing such a welcoming, spotlessly clean & well designed & equipped home for our stay.

Blissful Retreat

We just got back from the most fantastic stay. We travel regularly as a large group of 4 families and we all agree this has been the best trip by far! The house is extremely well set up to have quality time together as a large group (kids and adults) but also had plenty of space for quiet downtime when needed. The house was spotlessly clean and all the small touches made such a difference. Everything you could want or need for your stay is provided. The views were second to none and dusk was our favourite time of day whilst enjoying marshmallows over the campfire. We also loved seeing all the birds each day as well as the friendly lizard in the backyard. Annie was super responsive, answered all our questions and could not have been more helpful. We had such a great time - we are now trying to plan another visit :-)

Fabulous stay…

Beautifully presented property. Owners are meticulous in their attention to detail and care of the house. All bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious and comfortable, and all the beds have electric blankets, which was great as the weather was chilly. Kitchen set up with everything any cook would need. We loved the fact that we could all eat together around the large dining table.Extensive outdoor areas meant the kids could head down to the creek to explore, play cricket and badminton. Sitting around the fire pit after dinner was pretty special too. The city kids were excited to see kangaroos and we were all excited to encounter wombats on our walks and drives. Plenty of board games and jigsaw puzzles to while away the evenings too. This property has something to offer everyone. Annie kept us well informed about the house. Excellent communication. Thank you so much Annie, from our crew of 16!

Family holiday in Mudgee

My family and I had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful home, and it exceeded all expectations. Perfection

Our group of 12 thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Aroonalea. The property was more beautiful in person and suited our annual girls trip perfectly. The rooms and beds were very comfortable, the location is the perfect distance from town and the kitchen had everything you need to cook for 12 or more people. Annie was wonderful to deal with also, very friendly. I highly recommend this property.
