We had a lovely stay at the Lakefront. The setting is beautiful, the room was comfortable and clean and staff were helpful. The free shuttle service was great and we took advantage of it from the airport, to downtown and to the train station. My only complaint was the coffee shop was unexpectedly closed but we were able to get coffee at the train station so not a big deal.

Not sure why this is listed as a VIP hotel. Our room was dusty and dirty. Garbage was heaped on the containers we could see from our room. Asked for a room upgrade as a VIP member and was told not available. Hotel parking lot was only half full at 11pm. Had to ask for our breakfast vouchers. Definitely not worth the money we spent.

We always stay here when we visit Anchorage because it’s clean, safe and convenient to the airport. One disappointing thing this trip is that we always get VIP which includes a free breakfast for two and this time, we did not and the staff didn’t even know what we were talking about. That cost savings wasn’t there this time. :(

Reservation and billing systems chaotic. Desk clerk told me I was prepaid but had already checked out😵‍💫 overbilled 3 rooms when I had reserved 2. Clerk could not tell me how much my room cost. System did not permit her to do so. Just a total mess.

The property was old. The neighborhood was sketchy, the internet presented a nicer place. No coffee or water in lobby. A $50 fee for early check in or late check out, even if a few minutes only from set time. For the price, I expected much more.

It's an older property that, in its day, I would imagine was 5-star. That being said, the rooms are a little dated and the surrounding neighborhood isn't the best. I love that they offer shuttle transport to downtown and the airport - that was very convenient. Dining on the patio area is pleasant, too.
