Great hotel, friendly staff, terrasse with a gorgeous view and well situated if you’re not afraid of a few stairs! Definitely recommend as the place was very clean as well!

Casa Mao was an amazing stay! Very unique property, friendly staff, clean rooms, and great views. It was also a great value for the price even with a hike up the stairs. Would recommend!

Location was not properly located, u need to go 200 stairs , we had to pay €60 for 2 guys to carry our luggage up . We felt terribly bad for the guys. Be careful if u have luggage.

The property offers great location and beautiful views of Amalfi. The manager is very personable and helpful. The room is pleasant and the wifi is great. The location is really great, right in the center of a very lively town, which is next to the beach and ferry services. Note that it is physically demanding to climb the stairs to get to the property, especially when carrying luggage up for check-in, and there are restricted hours on check-in time. Self parking is not available in the entire town and must rely on garages at daily rates and must give them the key to the car. * Be careful to note your car fuel and mileage readings before giving the car to the garage attendent.

A couple hundred stairs, no signage, hard to find. Owner showed us how to lock and unlock various doors, main entrance to the hotel door was finicky and not working to the point where we couldn’t leave the hotel when we tried to (door wouldn’t unlock), which is completely illegal; a hotel door cannot be locked to guests from the inside and on top of that the lock wasn’t even working. The owner then threatened to charge me for repair costs of the lock and having new keys made (we didn’t brake it, it already wasn’t working and there was a piece of tape over the key hole). Also to leave the hotel you had to reach inbetween 2 doors to reach the handle of a second door because only one of the first doors works. Also over heard the owner telling other guests that we broke the door because we were drunk and careless, both completely untrue. Look at other reviews and you will see other people having u pleasant interactions with the owner. He doesn’t belong in the hospitality business period.

Thanks to the property manager he supplied me with a video to get to the hotel as it is slightly confusing but wasn’t a problem with the video. The hotel itself is absolutely stunning. Open the windows and see Amalfi and the giant mountains.

The owner met us at the port after we arrived by boat. He walked us through town and up the many stairs to our hotel telling us about its rich history. He was super kind and accommodating! The view and outdoor terrace were breathtaking! My favorite place to stay in Amalfi so far 🇮🇹❤️

We loved our stay here! Gianfranco made our experience an easy and enjoyable one. He showed great hospitality and was willing to do whatever needed to ensure our stay went smoothly. Room was a good size and views were amazing. Cold AC as well! Would definitely recommend Casa Mao.

Wonderful stay! The owner Gianfranco is a very hospitable and pleasant person, he did everything to ensure that we had a pleasant stay. He provided us with a guide and we were able to easily get to our destination. The room that we rented was quite large, clean and with a very interesting design. The view from the terrace is breathtaking! We want to come back here, and of course we will highly recommend this amazing place to everyone!

숙소이정표가 없어서 숙소찾기에 어려움이 있고, 숙소까지의 계단이 많아 수화물서비스(비용발생) 이용을 권함. 그 외 안락함. 경치. 청결, 친절함 모두 만족. 아말피라는 특수성으로 인한 숙소까지 가는 불편함을 제외하면 모든것이 만족.

Alojamiento muy bueno y vistas espectaculares. únicamente acceso muy muy complicado son 155 escalones. No recomendable para personas mayores ni para parejas con niños pequeños por el difícil acceso.
