Ramblers Cottage consists of a kitchen with an electric oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, and slimline dishwasher, and a living/dining room with a TV and WiFi. The bedrooms include one double with en-suite walk-in shower, basin, and WC, and one triple adult bunk room with a double below and single above, serviced by a bathroom with bath, basin, and WC, plus a ground-floor cloakroom. Outside, there is an enclosed garden with patio and furniture, and off-road parking for two cars. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop 0.5 mile, pub 0.1 mile. Fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. Ramblers Cottage is a welcoming base for up to four guests in a charming setting. Note: Max 4 guests. Please note: During the winter season property can accept a 3 night minimum stay. In the peak season, stays must be 7 nights minimum.
The Neighborhood:
The small pretty Northumberland village of Powburn is situated in the foothills of the Cheviots and surrounded by glorious countryside. The village has a shop and a wide range of amenities are available in the nearby market town of Alnwick. The village makes an ideal base for exploring the Northumberland National Park, Alnwick with its imposing castle (known to millions as Hogwarts School in Harry Potter!), the impressive castle gardens and The Treehouse Restaurant. The spectacular coastline, the attractive towns of Wooler and Rothbury and the well known National Trust country house and gardens at Cragside are all within easy reach.
