「Our dogs were very happy about the thick grass around the property. I didn’t bring their beds, but I went to the Dollar General and bought a rug for them, which softened the hardwood floors. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this old stone house. It reminded me of relatives homes from the distant past. There’s only one small bathroom, but since it’s just the two of us, it was fine. We loved the break from the everyday bustle.」

「The host is great! The home is rustic and met our needs for a place to sleep, shower, and sit around in the evening. My opinion, it's perfect for 1-4 people. The ride up the mountain is definitely and interesting one. We had two Jeeps so we were fine but there are a couple areas that are not paved. I would rent this property again since the host was attentive and was easy to contact.」

「History buffs will especially appreciate this house. The owners have come up with a good compromise between historical accuracy and modern livability. The kitchen is adequately furnished, and the beds are very comfortable. Plenty of towels, and the bathroom and shower-tub are totally functional. Plenty of hot water, which can sometimes be an issue with older homes.There are multiple grocery stores a short driving distance from the place, and the downtown is very close. Easy access to the River...

「We have rented for many years. Homes, cabins, etc. This cottage was outstanding. We were perfectly happy with the stay. Very clean. Everything seemed to be new. Privacy fence around the entire backyard, which was great for us as well as the dog. Near enough to downtown but approx. 3/4 mile or more to walk. All level walking area, but the heat can take its toll. There is plenty of parking in town, so if walking is an issue I suggest the short drive. The owners of the cottage were available at all...
