This spacious 2nd-floor condo in Akumal puts you just steps from the beach, one of the most beautiful spots on the Riviera Maya coast!

Santamar is nestled in a lush jungle setting and accessible via an unpaved road, so a car is recommended.

The Neighborhood:

Akumal is truly a natural wonder. In Mayan, Akumal means The Place of Turtles, and it lives up to its name as it’s one the finest snorkeling spots in the Mexican Caribbean, and it hosts a marine research center dedicated to protecting the turtles. There are also many things to see and do around Akumal, like water activities like snorkeling, scuba, paddle boarding, kite surfing, and boating. Plus, eco-parks with underground rivers, ancient Mayan ruins, cenotes (natural freshwater sinkholes), and more. PLUS you will have/can:

Santamar by Tao, is a 94 km or 58.5 miles from the Cancun International Airport (CUN). The development is situated on the beachside of the highway in Akumal and is only accessible by vehicle.

Please note that access to the apartment is only available via stairs. We recommend considering this for guests with mobility concerns.



- Electricity: 20 kWh/day included for 2–27 night stays. Use AC efficiently. Additional electricity: 3.85 MXN/kWh. For 28+ nights, electricity not included. Meter readings taken at check-in/out.

- Access & parking: 5-minute gravel road; car recommended. Free parking on site.

- Amenities: Wi-Fi, Smart TV, safe, bed linens, and towels included. Bath essentials (toilet paper, soap) provided to get started.

- Cleaning: No daily service, but available for a fee. For stays 21+ nights, mandatory cleaning every 21 nights at $50 USD.

- Additional fees: Extra guests may incur charges. Security deposit may apply. Rental Agreement required.

- Long-term & remote work: Laptop-friendly space available.

- Noise: Santamar is new; occasional construction noise may occur.



House Rules

- Guests must be 21+.

- No smoking or recreational drugs. Violation: $300 fine.

- No parties, events, or illegal activity. Keep noise respectful; no loud music after 10 PM.

- Only guests listed in reservation. No tents or structures allowed.

- Guests responsible for damages or extra cleaning if needed.

- Government ID may be requested at check-in or during stay.

- Do not move furniture.

- No pets.



Interaction with Guests:

The place is self-check-in using the door keypad to enter. All the information you’ll need, like the codes, entrance through the guarded gates, and check-in instructions, will all be provided 3 hours before arrival.
