"We wished we had stayed longer. This is a wonderful property, well maintained and the owners are close by. The back yard is beautifully landscaped and offers a full view of the volcano covered deck area and a small pool to cool off in. Beds are comfortable and the house offers everything you could need. La Fortuna is a hidden gem. I have been to CR over 40 times and never made it here. Great restaurants and activities and a wonderful place to relax when the day is over. Highly recomended."

When pathways are accessed in the dark use a flashlight, due to debris and quite dark at night. A large stand of bamboo provides cooling shade but drops lots of foliage. "Julian was a great host, he was always available and graves the best tips on what to visit and where to get the best deals for local attractions, his home is beautiful a piece of art in fantastic piece of land. "We had so much fun here, and it was a wonderful place to come and relax after a day of activities. Very unique cabin, with porch right on the pond. Friendly ducks, dogs, and it was great hearing all of the different bird calls. Very close to restaurants and things, but felt remite and private. Comfortable bed. Only complaint was the small bathroom without much room to put things."

"Our stay at the ranch was wonderful. The room we had came with A/C which was very nice to come back to after long days in the sun. The staff (specifically Kevin, went above and beyond ensuring we had everything we needed.) They organized a lot of our activities we did while in La Fortuna. The bar and restaurant on property are a nice touch if we didn’t feel like going out that night or going anywhere for breakfast or lunch. I couldn’t recommend this place any more! Fantastic! "
