"we stayed here 30 years ago and thought it was swish and swanky back then, even had a phone next to the toilet! Now the rooms just looked dated. Rooms comfortable and hotel close to everything we needed. Got to the Little Hunter over the road for a good steak! When trying to check out there was no staff at reception so we just left knowing we had prepaid."

"I was upgraded to a corner room which was superb with great views of the city. Monday night hotel dining options were limited but some good restaurants were nearby. The pool and gym were also fine for a hotel of this type. "

"Lovely and quiet with views to the river. The high ceiling in the generous sized room gives a feeling of spaciousness. Love the large bath. Bed very comfortable. Dark for a god sleep in. The steam room smelt a bit musty so opted for the sauna which was great for warming up at the beginning of winter. They provide single use small toiletries which I’d prefer to be large refillable dispensers to reduce plastic waste. It would also be great to see a way to ensure recycling of any bottles,...
