"My wife and I recently completed a 9-day trip around the Andalucia region of Spain. I had seen the Parque Natural Cazorla on a travel site itinerary and decided to make the drive up to the park with a one-night stay in Hotel El Curro in the nearby town of Burunchel. We had a lovely experience in the hotel and the staff were very helpful in providing a map of the park, recommendations on which trail to visit, and suggesting dinner items. "This was a very nice respite from the crowds in the bigger cities. I we were greeted by a very nice lady, who appeared to be in charge of the whole thing, very nice, very helpful, very friendly. The hotel is quirky as a very old building can be, and was really beautiful. our room overlooking the rooftops of the village was very comfortable and quiet. Everything about our stay, was perfect, including having an excellent restaurant just a few blocks away."

"In January, out of season, the bar and restaurant were closed. I was unable to make a good night herbal tea as there was no kettle on in the room. The TV was tiny and not adjustable to make for easy viewing except in bed."

"The Wi-Fi was great and the bed was too soft. It’s an oddly lonely property amidst the places you want to be with a minimal staff (the receptionist does check-in, check-out, manages your left luggage AND preps the breakfast buffet!). The room was longer than it was wide (be careful not to bump your head on the walls) and an itty bitty pool suitable as a birdbath. All this said, it had an ample bathroom with a walking shower and plenty of towels (that disappeared the second night)."

"A palatial room. Centre of Baeza. Walking distance to bus station. Very close to parking station. Large room with gorgeous furniture. Large bathroom. Lashings of hot water. Spotlessly clean. Friendly staff. Good internet. Cons: Rooms are around the dining area so can get noisy at mealtimes and late night celebrations. No window in my room so couldn't check the weather..or to see if it was daylight. Limate control difficult to work."

"First, the view from our room was worth the stay—gorgeous! The hotel was good. Staff had limited English but that’s to be expected off the beaten track. The meals that came with “full board” were quite limited, and we would go a la Carter next time. Room was a little stuffy, and it was a little noisy in the evening with the window open. The thermostat didn’t do anything, so a bit of air conditioning was not an optio. "
