"The cave onsens are wonderful and we loved our breakfast looking out at the rocky coast and crashing waves at breakfast. The hotel is a 1960s throw-back and well-maintained and very reasonably priced. Great hiking on Kumano Kodo nearby and sightseeing."

"Excellent onsen hotel experience. Very comfortable room and excellent food at the restaurant. Not much to do in the town, but hotel is great. Walking distance to Kii Katsuura train station. "

"L’hotel est propre. Par contre, il y a des chambres fumeurs. A cause de ca , malgré que notre chambre était non fumeur, il y avait une odeur de cigarette. Au niveau du confort, les lits ont un matelas dur. Tout de meme acceptable comme chambre pour le prix"

"This was a cabin with dining and kitchen area on one side and a sleeping area with tatami mats and futons in the other. The kitchen has all you need to make a meall but we didn’t bring any food with us. We only stayed one night but would come back and stay. There is a toilet in the room and went to the public onsen to bathe. The chicken yakatori place down the road is a must. "

"The hotel is reasonably priced and the room has a very good view. The facility is showing some age, but clean and well ordered nonetheless. Driving would be more convenient than taking the public transport to reach the hotel."

"We stayed here one night. It was an easy walk from the train station and easy walk to the bus stop to go up to the Kumano Nachi Taisha shrine. Rooms are clean with showers and toilets in the rooms. An unexpected bonus: we got tickets to go down to one of the hot spring baths at a hotel down the road! The woman at the front desk was very friendly. We used google translate to talk with her. Would stay again to explore the coastline. Beautiful area. "
