"City Rooms is a really odd place to review in that if you arrived expecting a hotel, or traditional bed & breakfast as Google lists it, you'd be in for a real shock. Aesthetically, it feels more like the living space built for construction workers on long-term projects. That's not to say it's bad, but it's very very basic. "Marikki, the owner, is very welcoming and friendly, a real 'people person'. We were slightly concerned that we were a little way from the village to go out to eat in the evening but this was not a problem. The hotel meals were so good there was no need to go out - very tasty and with a traditional theme. The local taxis are also quick and efficient. This was a very comfortable place to stay where the hosts made every effort to ensure you have a good time. It is right next to a ski track so easy...

"10/10 would recommend. Filipe and Kristen were so sweet! All the staff was helpful and quick in responding to my messages before I arrived in Sweden. The view is UNBELIEVABLE!!! So nice and peaceful. I was warm overnight. Slept in thermals and was not disturbed by the cold. And I went at the end of January ! Feet of snow. Can’t wait to go back"

"Very conveniently located guesthouse (3 minute walk to train station/bus terminus for Santa Claus Village, 3 minutes to a supermarket, 10 minutes to the edge of downtown). The rooms were small but warm and clean. A kitchen is available for use, and so is laundry (7 Euros). The breakfast was included but not remarkable. The front desk staff gave very good directions. Wifi worked well too."
