The single-storey, coastal bolthole is bright and airy, with large picture windows framing spectacular sea views and contemporary decor in hues to reflect the surrounding landscape. The spacious lounge is the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring, with an array of comfortable seating, a Smart TV/DVD, and carefully chosen homely accessories and soft furnishings. Come together for memorable mealtimes in the sleek kitchen/diner which, again, boasts panoramic coastal views from its dual-aspect windows. When it’s time for bed, choose from two elegant, Scandi-style bedrooms. Completing the accommodation is a contemporary shower room. Outside, the enclosed garden is laid to lawn, with a decked area and BBQ for al fresco dining, as well as a firepit for toasting marshmallows under the stars.
You’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to nearby beaches, from the secluded coves of Grunta Beach (0.5 miles) and Barricane Beach (1 mile) to the long, sandy stretches at Woolacombe and Saunton Sands (9.5 miles). At Woolacombe, as well as the 3-mile beach, you’ll also find a collection of cute coastal shops and independent eateries. As expected, the area around Mortehoe is a paradise for walkers. A short jaunt from the village brings you to Morte Point, where the views are simply stunning, and from here you can join the popular coastal trail to the lighthouse at Bull Point.
