週末の快適で静かな休暇に適したオープンプランの明るいスプリットレベルのコテージ。 2つのダブルベッドルームとシングルベッド付きの小さなベッドルーム。

このコテージは、ベリーとカンガルーバレーの間の丘陵地帯にある10エーカーの敷地にあり、独自のドライブウェイエントリがあります。 見事な谷の景色があり、北東に面しているので、ベッドに横になり、「夜明けのコーラス」で目を覚まし、都市生活から離れて完全なプライバシーで日光浴をすることができます

庭はパドックから安全にフェンスで囲まれているため、犬を安全に連れて行くことができ、子供たちが安全であることをリラックスできます。 隣接する施設から牛とその子牛が走る、北に面した大きなパドックエリアを歩くことができます。 犬は中に入ることができます。

  • (Flower is fuschia heath) A “BEAUTIFUL” DAY In typical Ian fashion, I had ideas where I might go but left it till the morning before I was convinced it would be Barren Ground. Despite its unattractive name there was a promise of wildflowers. I’d bypassed it on a previous trip but its curious name lured me in. I’d zig-zagged up the Jamberoo Mountain Road the day before but I still managed to marginally overshoot the turn off. Alighting at the carpark I could see I wouldn’t be alone, but you certainly wouldn’t call it crowded. I chose the Griffith Trail, apparently it’s rated number #30 on N.S.W. top 60 day walks. Tasmania really started something all those years ago when they came out with their top 60 brochure, stealing a march on other states. I was so pleased when I cracked 40 of them but N.S.W.’s had escaped me then and continues to do so. I have no idea where the rating on the sign came from. The trail has a feature, a natural stone bridge. That conjured up all sorts of images in my brain but I wondered if the 8kms would push my dodgy knees to the limit. Nothing ventured……. There was an expectation of wildflowers. It had said on sites that I’d checked that now was a prime time. They weren’t immediately apparent but when I came across the first batch it was merely a prelude. Soon they were in abundance, at times the best displays I’d ever seen. Violet, yellow and white were in profusion, scattered all along the edge of the track.

  • . He suggested Carrington Falls, just 20 minutes away, as a better option. Disappointed, but somehow grateful, I did a U-turn and headed off. I’d been here before, but now had a better camera, my Samsung S10 phone. These days I rarely use my accumulated Nikon gear, saving it for telephoto and night shots only. I hadn’t fitted flowers into my calculations, but there they were, flexing their leaves to the tune of the falling rain. Only one other couple were present and they were 300 metres in front. I had it basically all to myself. There’s something fulfilling about being surrounded by nature in all its forms. Alison was easy to contact and always prompt with her replies to my enquiries. Clean house and our two doggies enjoyed running around the fenced yard. Also met Sally the miniature pony on our second day. Enjoyed our stay.

Had a lovely relaxing weekend with our dog. Really private with the cows and kangaroos to watch. Time to relax and put the feet up and read a good book - perfect for what we needed and our dog had a huge yard to explore. Not too far from Berry to have a good shop too and a great lunch. Thanks.

A lovely comfortable house in a gorgeous setting. The location was perfectfor us. We so appreciated that we could bring our dog, as it made things so much easier. We also enjoyed the company of the cattle in the house paddock, as they provide hours of entertainment just watching them!Our host Alison was very reponsive, and that was appreciated. It was a very happy experience staying at Grandma's Cottage.

Great country stay on the south coast

We had a lovely stay in the cottage. Tranquil, cozy and relaxing - surrounded by the rolling hills of Woodhill/Berry.The place was well appointed and had modern amenities.The whole family enjoyed their time and I’m sure we’ll be back again for another stay down the track.The internal stairs (split level) were a little bit of a challenge for our 9 month old but otherwise did great.

A home away from home

Beautiful location and lovely home. Lovely photos and items connected to previous family. Beds were confortable and plenty of space, totally safe for kids. For any curious puppies not so much, as fence was not secure in spots towards the back paddock and partners had to block with wood to stop him escaping. Overall would stay again. Enjoyable stay with a couple of issues

We enjoyed our stay at Grandma’s cottage with our 2 dogs. The property is comfortable with lovely views and lots of native wildlife around.There were a couple of issues with the kitchen which we messaged the owner about when checking out but did not receive a reply. We found a number of dirty items had been put away without being cleaned properly. There were also some items in the fridge and kitchen cupboards that are well past their expiry date (in some cases many years out of date). We suggest the cupboards are checked and any expired items either thrown away or marked not for guest use.

Great little getaway close to our home!

Great property if you’re looking at getting away from the hustle and bustle. Great indoor fireplace, and the cottage felt like a home away from home with all the cooking utensils you need. Big thumbs up for having a dog friendly home too as we could enjoy the stay with our dogs too! Only ten minute drive to Berry. Alison who looked after our booking is lovely and was very accommodating with our request to postpone the weekend due to terrible weather. She was very understanding and extremely flexible with our needs. We’ll be back!! ❤️

Great holiday getaway!

Well located and on an amazing property. Kids had a ball, flying drone and building campfires and trudging off through the gully to pet the pony and see the cows in the big paddock. The back paddock is huge and our puppy had the best time running out to the big rock and sprinting home again. Everything aboit the stay was great. Kitchen well stocked, smart tv, cosy fireplace and a short drive to Berry or Kangaroo Valley. Highly recommended for a stay in the country. We also had the pleasure of meeting out hosts. Five stars.

Relaxing weekend

Everything was perfect and so comfortable in this beautiful home. We thoroughly enjoyed the peace and tranquility. Went on great walks with our dog within the property. The home was clean, beds very comfy, all modern appliances. We had great internet reception. Very helpful communication and excellent hospitality from the owners. We will definitely come back and also tell our friends about this glorious spot. It was absolutely perfect for our dog, who loved exploring the beautiful well fenced expansive yard.

Loved the quiet, interspersed with bird song and the occasional moo. We could walk all over the property and notsee or hear another person. It was magic!

Wonderfully peaceful country escape!

Grandma's Cottage is in a beautiful location, the perfect place to relax and appreciate nature. We valued the tranquility and privacy, such a great escape only 10 mins from Berry. The house was well equipped to cook family meals and was warm & homely. We look forward to staying again in the future.

Very relaxing country retreat

Well equipped property, lots of towels and linens, plenty of space for kids to run around. Very peaceful location and has a nice homely feel. Will be especially beautiful in cold weather I imagine with outdoor fire pit and wood burner indoors
