"On arrival we thought we had booked the wrong hotel as it looked closed as there was a lot of fencing and debris outside the hotel. The receptionist was very welcoming and said the hotel was just opening after a period of closure and asylum residents. There was no bar or restaurant or facilities. We also paid £5 for car park as advertised but were then told we did not need to pay. The beds were comfortable but the bathroom dirty and had a leak. To be honest the hotel should not be selling rooms...

"This was the single most horrendous travel experience I’ve ever had - and I travel a lot for my job! Firstly I was asked to pay for early check in (this is ok as I understand this can be an inconvenience). Then because I couldn’t check in before the activity we had planned we decided to leave it until after. Upon trying to check in - around 6pm we were told that someone has already checking in - i was surprised as it was no one from our group. It turns out they had given my booking to someone...

"Warm room. Comfy bed. Hot and fairly powerful shower. Facilities, furnishings and deco dated but fully functional and as expected for a budget hotel. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Middle of student area so external noise at a weekend shouldn’t surprise anyone and not the hotels fault. At a time when hotels in Manchester are ridiculously priced it’s nice to know affordable accommodation still exists on a tight budget. A perfectly quirky hotel. I enjoyed my stay and will go back...
