With a king bed, a bunk room, and space for up to six guests, it's an easy, comfortable home base for families and friends exploring the High Peaks.

Wake up to mountain air, views of the Ausable River, and the quiet rhythm of the Adirondacks. This modern rustic condo sits in one of Wilmington's most walkable and scenic spots, where nature, adventure, and small-town charm all meet.

Start your morning with coffee overlooking the river and Whiteface Mountain. The backyard offers hammocks, a fire pit, and a dock on the river (seasonal: the dock is removed from the water in early October and returns once the weather warms up). Restaurants, hiking trails, a sandy beach, and Wilmington Heritage Park are all within walking distance.

The location works in every season. Bike scenic routes in summer, catch the fall colors in autumn, and ski Whiteface just 5 minutes away in winter. Lake Placid is about 15 minutes away for an easy day trip.

You're also close to two classic Adirondack attractions: Santa's Workshop, a beloved family theme park since 1949 (seasonal hours, so check ahead), and the Whiteface Mountain Veterans' Memorial Highway, a scenic drive to the summit (open mid-May to early October).

Inside, the condo is designed to feel calm and grounded, blending warm wood textures, modern rustic finishes, and mountain-inspired details. The layout works well for families and groups, with a king bed and a single bed in the first bedroom, a bunk bed in the second, and an extra single bed in the living room, sleeping up to six guests.

Adirondack Winter Invitational — November 27–28, 2026
Spend Thanksgiving weekend at the legendary 1980 Herb Brooks Arena, home of the "Miracle on Ice." Six Division I college hockey games over two days, featuring Clarkson, RIT, St. Lawrence, and Merrimack men's teams, plus St. Lawrence and Merrimack women's teams.

Lake Placid Holiday Village Stroll — December 11–13, 2026
A beloved Lake Placid tradition and a festive weekend for families and couples in a true winter wonderland. The full schedule is still being finalized.

Ski Season at Whiteface Mountain
Whiteface, home of the greatest vertical drop in the East, is right here in Wilmington. Opening day is usually mid-to-late November, depending on the weather.

Coming back Summer 2027: Wilmington Beach Concert Series
Wilmington's free Thursday-evening outdoor concerts at the Town Beach on Lake Everest return next summer! Bring a picnic, fire up the grill, and enjoy live music with Whiteface Mountain as your backdrop. Stay tuned for next year's lineup, a perfect reason to plan your next Adirondack getaway.

Guest access
Parking is located in front of the house and is uncovered, we can accommodate 2-3 vehicles. If you have a pick-up or longer vehicle, you can park in the right side of the house. Please note, the left side is a driveway and can't be blocked at any time. Across the street is the visitor center, you may park there temporarily if needed.

We use a self check in door code so no need to use keys.

- Note: The laundry room is located downstairs in the building. It is not inside the apartment itself. We also have a portable crib available. Please request if needed.

LOWER LEVEL ACCESS NOTICE:
Just a friendly reminder that the laundry room is the only guest-accessible area on the lower level. All other rooms and doors on that level are strictly for storage/staff use and are not permitted for guest entry.

Pets - We may allow pets on a case by case basis, please message us to see if we can accommodate. Cleaning fee applies. For the comfort of all guests, we are unable to accommodate cats on the property.

Backyard & Water Access Disclaimer:

We’ve made some updates to the backyard, including a new dock that provides seasonal water access.

Please note: Water and dock access will be available through October 7th. After October 7th, the dock will be removed from the water for the season, and water access will be unavailable for the season.

The backyard also includes hammocks, extra chairs, and tables for you to relax and enjoy the space. The hammock and some outdoor games are located in the laundry room for your convenience.

The laundry room has also been improved and clearly labeled for easier access during your stay.

When water access is available, it is used at your own risk. No lifeguard or supervision is provided, and children must be supervised at all times near the water. Please be aware that surfaces may be uneven or slippery.

The property owner and management are not responsible for any injuries, accidents, or damages that may occur while using these spaces.

We recommend bringing your own firewood so you can fully enjoy the outdoor fire pit during your stay. Firewood can also typically be purchased at nearby gas stations or from local vendors along the road.

This property has special local compliance requirements which include a signed rental agreement, ID verification, and a security hold of $1000 (which is not a traditional security deposit, just a pending transaction). As an optional alternative to the security hold, you may opt in to purchase a non-refundable damage waiver provided by a third-party insurance company. The optional damage waiver is $37 for stays up to 10 nights, with an additional $2 per day for stays longer than 10 nights. Damage waiver purchases are optional.

To make this process easy for you, we use a secure and very simple, app-free platform called Happy Guest. It is not an app, and you do not have to sign up for an account - it’s a safe and secure website. It also gives you a guest portal with all the info about the home and all of my favorite local spots.

Due to the time needed to adequately clean the unit, we are not able to offer early check-in or late check-out. Please book an extra night if you would like to guarantee an early check- in or a late check- out.

If an unauthorized event occurs, a $500 fee will be charged. No parties or events are allowed, per VRBO policy.
