Beautifully restored home in Wilmington Historic District with pool

Enjoy the charm of this historic cottage home. Located among the many attractions of downtown and within an easy drive to the beaches, this historic yet modern home makes for the perfect spot to enjoy everything Wilmington has to offer. And if you just want to escape and relax, you have private access to the beautiful pool oasis right outside your back door. (The pool is not heated and generally too cold to be in from late September through mid-May, but the pool remains open and the pool area can be enjoyed year round.)

The historic but completely renovated home includes a comfortable living room, a dining room that seats eight, a well-equipped kitchen, and a large back deck. The two bedrooms each have their own en suite bathrooms with walk-in showers. Additional sleeping is available on the fold-out sofa in the living room. The front porch, deck, courtyard, and private pool areas offer great outdoor space for enjoying coffee in the morning and cocktails in the evening, as well as a great place to soak up the sun or lounge in the shade!

All of historic downtown Wilmington is an easy walk from the house. There is off-street parking for two vehicles. All linens and towels are provided, including pool and beach towels.

This home is not only in a prime location to enjoy Wilmington, but has everything you need to make for a relaxing getaway!

Because of the outdoor space, guests often want to invite others over to join them. Small gatherings are permitted, but we ask that you inform us first if anyone not staying at the house is coming over. The house is in a residential neighborhood and we ask that our guests be courteous of our neighbors. Therefore, we don’t allow groups of more than 12 and ask hosts to monitor noise levels, particularly after 9:00pm.

Please note that we are no longer able to accommodate pets in our home.

We live right next door to the property, so if you have any needs or questions while you are staying, we are very easy to reach.

Chris and Matt were unbelievable hosts. This downtown oasis is designed to perfection and is full of character. The house and amenities were in great condition and remarkably clean, and it was located within walking distance to just about anything you need in downtown Wilmington. The communication and flexibility of the hosts was also unmatched. We will definitely be returning for a stay in the future — and would be permanent guests if we were able!

Beautiful Historic Home

The house was a welcoming place to stay, very comfortable and the host thought of everything. Close to riverfront and local historic house museums. Short drive to Wrightsville beach and other area attractions. Perfect stay if you are looking for two primary bedrooms with private baths.

A wonderful find In the Wilmington historic district!

Matt and Chris provided a great stay for us in their lovely two bedroom Wilmington getaway. They were great hosts and provided everything we needed . The house is super comfy with all the necessities. Make sure you bring your swimsuit for the pool and tropical sitting area, outback!

Awesome Historic House and Location

This well-appointed house has it all! It is stocked with everything needed for your visit. From the cozy front porch with rocking chairs to the beautiful backyard with multiple seating areas, it really feels like your at home. The decor is lovely and the furniture is comfortable and practical. The house is in a quaint neighborhood and is very walkable to all the restaurants and bars. Our host made check-in and out a breeze. I’ve stayed in multiple VRBO properties and this was the best one yet!

Long Weekend

The house is beautiful. The pool and outdoor areas were so enjoyable. Comfortable beds, fully stocked kitchen, everything you would need is here. Perfect location within 15 minute walk to everything! We loved this house! The interior is beautiful and the backyard pool is out of this world. You're a short drive to the beach and walking distance to restaurants and shopping. The hosts are so nice and checked in with us during our stay to see if we needed anything. I would stay here again!

Our stay was exceptional. The house, rooms, family room were the best we could have imagined. The furniture was very comfortable, great quality and a perfect match throughout the house. Beautiful spot in Wilmington

We loved our stay at the Grace Street bungalow with our two little ones. The house was gorgeous, well-appointed, and cozy with excellent air conditioning. Location was walkable to explore downtown Wilmington and the hosts were super attentive and helpful. The pool was the absolute highlight for the kids. It was a wonderful trip!

Sweet Wilmington - we'll be back

We had a wonderful stay over April vacation; myself and my two boys. We're from New England and found the pool water very swimmable. We had great weather during our stay, which I am sure helped.The house itself was exactly what I had hoped for: clean, comfortable, and well equipped. The beds were very comfy, the kitchen had everything we needed, and everything was in great working order.Proximity to downtown Wilmington was nice as well—it was a very cute neighborhood with charming homes all around. I did not have the pleasure of meeting Chris but Matt was lovely to talk to, and very available for anything we needed.I highly recommend this house for your Wilmington stay!

Lovely home in the historic district

We spent a week here to get a break from winter. Loved the house, the front porch, the sunny backyard and deck, the neighborhood and easy walking distance to downtown and the river walk. Matt is very responsive and the home is beautifully decorated and furnished. Would go back in heartbeat!

Love it here!

We booked this vacation home fornour wedding weekend. We had the best time and the house was so beautiful. It looked beauiful in the pictures but it was even better than expected. The location is amazing. The backyard is so relaxing, as soon as I got there I couldnt wait to just relax and enjoy it. I can't wait to stay again soon!

Love our Wilmington weekends

My husband and I come here every year for his birthday and we love this house!!!! It's become our home away from home while here. Fantastic location, wonderfully decorated. The kitchen is amazing---everything you could possibly want. Although it rained the entire weekend this year, we look forward to coming back next year when we can enjoy the outdoor space and pool area.

Gorgeous and felt like Home!!

My family and I had a great time long weekend at this home! It was beautifully decorated and had everything you needed. The pool area was private and so peaceful, so many seating options for sun and shade. The neighborhood is so adorable and walkable, many options for restaurants, shopping, coffee and ice cream are all in walking distance. The home owner was extremely accommodating and so friendly. I would definitely recommend and revisit!

Love this house! We had 6 stay comfortably (sleeper sofa was actually really comfortable too). The backyard/pool is amazing, tons of seating, has everything you need. Awesome location as well, we walked into downtown multiple times, and it’s worth the 10-15 min walk to have this space as a home base. We’d stay again in a heartbeat!

Weekend in Wilmington

This property is immaculate and very well appointed. Every comfort has been thought of and no expense was spared by the owners when decorating this home. Walking distance to great restaurants and shops. The owners were lovely and super communicative. Five stars all the way!
