「This Grade 2 hotel, is an excellent example of how to do things right. Even lack of staff did not stop the owner from providing an excellent service. Would recommend anytime and will definitely stop again sometime. 」
「We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was spotless and had all the facilities we could possibly ask for including a secure private garden section with decking area, perfect for the dogs. The breakfast offered a wide variety of options, all consisting of excellent locally sources ingredients expertly cooked. The property was conveniently located a short drive from Chatsworth House, Bakewell and a number of other tourist attractions. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again or to recommend to others.」
「The View was a wonderful find. Our room was spacious and clean with facilities that you would expect in a top notch hotel. It was great to sit on the private patio and look out across the countryside. Staff were very polite and friendly. Food was good with a varied choice of breakfast items. 」

A beautiful location within the Chatsworth estate in old style properties with plenty of character. Just a few steps away is a lovely local pub The Beeley Inn serving delicious food (the ox cheek is to die for,) agreeably it’s not cheap but you get what you pay for. Ideal for a special treat.」

Down points are that room was too hot with no means to cool it down and no spoons or stirrers to make the drinks.
Would deffo recommend but if your like me and get hot too quick then ask for a room with aircon.」
「Great for Peak District, lively pub with atmospheare...well prepared food at reasonanle prices and nice and quiet after 11 or so.... full breakfast with options. Really enjoyed a one nighr stop and would return whrn next out hiking!」
「It's such a lovely spot and the room was spacious, super clean and with a view out to the lovely surrounding area. The bed was also very comfy and the pillow too, and this from someone who is princess and the pea with her pillows! I also got a really great rate for my one night stay.」
