    Highly recommended, is welcoming, clean and the bed very comfortable. Very attentive staff. Love the view of the Harbour from the room and the decor. Near restaurants, the beach. Definitely worth the trip and will come back.

    We loved Maxine's quirky property filled with nautical memorabilia. Our room, which looked over the harbour, had everything we needed and the bed was really comfortable. We opted for the full English breakfast which was lovely.

    Fantastic stay, Maxine is a star, amazing host and full of smiles and chat! Our room (5) was amazing, had everything in it you could possibly need, bed is the best I’ve slept in and the breakfast was 1st class full English. Highly recommended and just wish we were staying longer! Thanks Max x

    I had a great short stay, our host and staff were lovely, I was made to feel very welcome on arrival and was given just the right amount of information about my stay, which did come in useful. My room was a good size, very very clean and tidy, I had a great view of the harbour and was very happy with my choice. I will look forward to staying again when I go back to Weymouth. I will not run the risk of trying somewhere else and being disappointed , which I think, I would be as the standard was set very at the Ocean. WELL DONE THE OCEAN Thank you.

    Had a lovely room with sea view and king size bed. Great little extras like a pair of binoculars on the window sill to explore the view. Couple of easy chairs in the bay window with coffee table. A real pleasure to sit there in the sun! One word of warning, if you are infirm or not able to carry your own cases easily up the property stairs this venue is probably not the right choice for you as there is no lift (it’s a listed building). Maxine our host was lovely and my wife and I highly recommend the Ocean Guest House!

    Owner initially could not find my reservation. My brother and I were very exhausted from walking the coast path for 13 miles that day and wanted to get to our room and clean up and rest. Owner seemed in a hurry and not organized. Not very hospitable and friendly.

    Pleasurable stay

    Hostess Maxine was very welcoming, open, honest and very friendly. Harbour view from our clean, cosy and comfortable room was amazing. The bed was so comfy too. The Ocean has it's own character with themed but subtle rooms. The bar is an honesty bar. All in all was a fab stay.

    The best place to stay in Weymouth

    The property is tastefully decorated in great condition and extremely clean and tidy. We street parked during our stay with no issues with a parking pass from our amazing host Maxine. Our stay wouldn’t have been the same without her , went above and beyond to make our experience of Weymouth the best it could be starting the day with a delicious breakfast and the go too’s and must sees of what the area had to offer. Booking anywhere else would be a waste of money… this is the place it Stands proud and above anywhere else, we are so glad we booked We’ll be back.

    We stayed 1 night to attend an event at Weymouth Pavilion so the Ocean was in the perfect location just a 2 minute walk away. Lovely welcome by Lyn and the room was clean and cozy with a view of the beach. The bed was very comfy and the newly refurbished bathroom was good. Breakfast was excellent freshly cooked and ample portions, plenty of cereals, toast, fresh fruit, yogurts etc. A nice touch was the homemade cake in the lounge which you could help yourself to...thank you Lyn. Overall lovely stay and would use again.

    We had a lovely welcome from Lynn and Clive, the Ocean is ideally placed with views of the sea and harbour with a wonderful sun terrace and complimentary coffee and homemade cake, the bedroom was beautifully decorated, the breakfast was excellent with high quality ingredients, we'll definitely be back and would wholeheartedly recommend.

    Lynn was the perfect host from my call in advance to checking out: friendly, helpful and knowledgeable with top tips on where to eat and drink. Room was spot on, very clean and well appointed, and the breakfast was superb. All in all, thoroughly recommended.
