Superb stay at The Clarence

A superb stay at The Clarence in Weymouth. The welcome and hospitality from the hosts, the standard and comfort of the room and quality of the breakfast was outstanding. This was my first but definitely not the last of my stays here. Thank you Karen and Richard.

Outstanding B&B

We had the most amazing stay at the Clarence for 4 nights. Karen and Richard were exceptional hosts with hospitality second to no-one. The cooked to order breakfasts were outstanding and the accomodation was immaculate with attention to detail at every corner. We would highly recommend The Clarence.

Wonderful wonderful wonderful

The most wonderful stay, Hotel is immaculate, the breakfast was exceptional. But the Service Karen and Richard offer is the best I have ever experienced. They actually make you feel like family. I would highly recommend this Hotel to anyone.

Located in an excellent position close to harbour, beach, pubs and restaurants. A beautifully clean B&B with excellent facilities. The breakfast choices and quality were excellent. The proprietors, Karen and Richard, could not have done enough for us. They were excellent hosts. I would thoroughly recommend The Clarence for a pleasant stay in Weymouth.

Room was very clean and tidy. More than enough space for the two of us. Tea and coffee making machine in the room, as well as a mini fridge, which was unexpected, but very welcome. A variety of breakfast items are available as well as an option for full english. Hosts Richard and Karen were very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely stay here again, and would thouroughly recommend staying at The Clarence.

True Hospitality

We were warmly greeted by Karen who was very friendly and welcoming. We received a kind upgrade and had a spacious, spotlessly clean room with a view to the sea. There was fabulous coffee in the room and complimentary chilled water. We received a parking permit which we could use in the designated zone though local car parks were reasonably priced and free overnight. We enjoyed a great choice of fresh fruits and yogurt whilst our hot breakfasts were freshly cooked to order. Great quality bacon and plenty of it. We were spoilt by the attention to detail and kind thoughts. We had wine glasses provided to our room without requesting them when it was clear we’d brought a bottle with us which has never happened in any other hotel we’ve visited. Weymouth was a lovely traditional seaside resort with plenty to do and we also took the chance to visit Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove nearby. We had a great couple of nights and would not hesitate to recommend The Clarence. True hospitality and exceptional hosts. Thank you both. Nicola & Matt

Single women review - I stayed in the single room for 2 nights. It was very quiet and peaceful. Plenty of plug sockets for charging & straighteners etc, hangers and dressing table. The Clarence is exceptionally well-maintained. Immaculate infact. I normally stay in big hotels, and they could learn a thing or two from The Clarence. Everything was sparkling and a real credit to the owners. The room had a coffee machine but no kettle. I did have to Google how to get hot water out of it. I would have preferred a kettle because I like boiling hot tea. I could have asked, but didn’t want to bother anyone. Next time, I would take a kettle or ask for one - especially if you like boiling water on your tea bag. There was a mini fridge with bottled water and milk provided. I was very grateful for that. Exceptionally conveniently located near the beach and shops. I was given a parking permit and got a slot for my car, right outside the front door. I had a wonderful time, was exceptionally well looked after, ate wonderfully cooked and presented breakfasts with plenty of the freshest fruit to choose from. A marvellous choice for me - I was thrilled with The Clarence and felt very warmly looked after - I would absolutely recommend for someone who normally opts for a hotel - because this was like a mini hotel, but with the comfort of staying with relatives. 5stars!
