「The hotel advertises complimentary rollaway beds, which is one of the reasons we booked this property. After checking in, we were told none were available. If rollaway beds are subject to availability, that should be clearly stated in the room description. Advertising them as an included amenity without that clarification is misleading and affected our stay. We understand inventory can be limited, but no alternative accommodation or solution was offered.」

「Everything you need for a budget stay at SJ islands! Staff was very helpful for my late check in, prime location within walking distance of everything in Friday Harbor. Ideal stay for solo travelers!」

「We never got to our room, as we needed a late arrival check-in, and after filling out the paperwork, then calling and messaging the hotel repeatedly, we were never given the code to the key box containing our key. We ended up driving two hours home after midnight instead.」

「This is a very cute motel a few minutes from Friday Harbor. We enjoyed the HOT hot tub, yard games, and picnic area. The room was decorated so cute with little extras everywhere from the shower steamers, hot coco/coffee bar, and slippers. We would definitely stay here again!」

「Great location close to the Main Street. Owner tries to keep it clean and updated but it’s pretty modest finishing and cleanliness. You get what you pay for so it is reasonable for its location. Just don’t expect cleanliness, condition and amenities of a travel lodge or other 3star chain hotels/motels」

「I don’t think I would stay here again for the cost. The rooms need updating, it just didn’t feel clean or new. Pillows, bedding needs updating. I paid almost 400$ per night and it was not what it should have been.」

The food was average and not particularly memorable. That said, it’s important to recognize the hotel’s rural island location, where expectations and available options may be different than at a larger destination. 「This inn is a beautifully located, wonderfully quiet and restful location near North Beach, 1 mile away from the shops and restaurants of Eastsound. The Goldfinch Room was lovely with a very comfortable bed. Breakfasts are out of this world! Hostess Jill was lovely and very helpful with everything. Highly recommended!」
