Parking was easy and the atmosphere was very family orientated laid vack and rekaxing. Although i had alot of stairs to climb the staff were very happy to help me when i arrived and when i left thank you. Would give 0 stars if I could. The room and facilities were generally dirty—dust everywhere, cups not cleaned, and a strange smell coming from the toilet. The soap had already been opened before I even checked in. The first room I was given had an AC that wouldn’t turn on, and although I was moved to another room, the AC there barely worked either. It wasn’t blowing air properly, wasn’t cooling the room, and kept flashing an error light indicating the filter needed replacing. Overall, the place is poorly maintained and the customer service is almost nonexistent. Feels like a complete scam.

Suited our needs as a bed for the night. Room was right above the bar which was a bit noisy with music and pool tables considering there was only 3 or 4 people in the bar. Disappointed the restaurant wasn't open Sunday morning for breakfast, but found a suitable place up the road.

Very central in the Waitara town. Downside was the noise coming from the bar below. This has been the case on the 2 occasions we have stayed at the hotel. We just accept that this is part of the deal!

Adequate for a night or 2

Very old hotel in the middle of a small town. Quite dated….carpets in poor condition, especially in the hallways. Bed was comfortable and the bathroom fine. Good restaurant attached. TV didn’t work, but a tech came in and fixed it. Noisy bar downstairs, but didn’t go too late.

Worst hotel room

Absolutely terrible. Check-in was slow, the carpets leading up to, and in, the room was filthy. Linen was clean and beds comfortable. Bathroom was very run down. The music from the hotel downstairs rang through the entire room for a good 5 hours. Anytime someone in the hotel ran water you heard it course through the pipes in your room. So noisy, so terrible that we checked out early.

Good location, friendly helpful staff. TV (remote?) not working. Clock on daylight savings time, sing plumbed backwards, but none of that mattered as much as having a quiet place to sleep. Bed good, I personally don't like duvets (too hot and can't make it cooler so disturbed sleep).
