Kolea 3D - Ground Floor Garden View Kolea Vacation Rental

Kolea 3D was nicely upgraded in 2021 and is a great location for families at Kolea at Waikoloa Beach Resort. The large great room has a large wrap around sofa facing a big screen television. The kitchen has been well stocked and features granite counters and stainless steel appliances. The dining area seats 6.

Open the large pocket doors to extend your living space to the outside and to take in the sights and the sounds of Hawaii. The large lanai has a nice dining area as well as a lounging area. Enjoy cooking your favorite meal on a large Viking grill at the wet bar!

On one side of the villa is the spacious master bedroom that has a king size bed with bedside tables facing a big screen television. There is a nice sitting area to read your favorite book! The attached bathroom opens up to the master bedroom and has a deep soaking tub, large walk in shower, dual vanities and a large walk in closet. You will also find a small, private lanai off of this bedroom.

Just off the entry of the villa is one of the guest bedrooms with a queen size bed with bedside tables with a television on top of a chest of drawers. The attached bathroom has a vanity and a tub/shower combo. You will also find a small, private lanai off of this bedroom.

Just off the kitchen is the other guest bedroom with a queen bed with bedside tables. The attached bathroom has a vanity and a walk in shower.

Other amenities of Kolea 3D include a laundry room with a full size washer and dryer, wifi, and dual zone air conditioning, and travertine flooring throughout.

Very Dissapointed

I will begin by saying we have been coming to Kolea for about 7 years now and have never been treated so poorly. When we arrived a listtle bit after 4pm the laundry was not completed. Jessica had to come in and finish the laundry. We were asked to leave our shoes outside, which is something we do anyhow but only after a few hours of walking around the unit our feet were black. Floors were sticky. Dirty pans. Everything was going well until we were approaced in our private lanai about the tiki torches being lit. They actually sacared me a bit and I didn't feel comfortable after that incident. We were blamed that we put the tiki torches in. We thought the conversation at that time was over as we said we wouldn't light them,But I received a call and and email about the same conversation we had. It was a bit intimidating and it bothered us extremly durning the rest of the stay. I was very uncomfotable. We were told no tiki we allowed or to be lit. As I came home and processed the event I really didn't want to write a review or address it anymore. However it is still bothering me that we were targeted as bad guest. I went to the VRBO site where I booked and looked at the pictures and guess what? The tiki torches are highlighted in the pictures and even LIT! The hot tub has exposed wires and someone is going to get shocked. There is no place for guest who smoke or vape. My husband was told he had to go outside the gates. However we witnessed a guest smoking a cigar on the street.

Cleaning??

We've been staying at The Kolea for decades. The property is fabulous. We are always disappointed when the condos are not cleaned well prior to arrival. This one was not. There is a sign at the door to remove shoes. We did and the bottoms of our feet turned black walking around inside. The furniture was dusty and the patio furniture was dirty and sticky. I cleaned the entire condo which is not my version of a vacation. The condo was otherwise very comfortable and well furnished for guests.

Return to Kolea

This was our second time staying at a beautiful Kolea property. The first time we stayed our kids were 3 and almost 1 and this time they are 20 and 18! The property was perfect for our families at both stages of life. The grounds were gorgeous and well-manicured, there's easy access to the pool at Kolea Beach Club and to the beach just a few steps beyond. The unit in which we just stayed was beautifully furnished and decorated-- down-to-earth and luxurious at the same time. The pocket door opens up an entire wall to the sizeable lanai complete with an outdoor kitchen and grill. The unit was clean and relatively well-stocked with kitchen/dinner/bar-ware as well as beach gear. The property management company was super easy to work with and very responsive to any questions/concerns.

Perfect Kohala Coast Place

Easy access to beach, nice pool, fantastic lodging, but NOT in big resort. Small enough to feel private and quiet. Easy shopping, groceries, etc too. Went to Hilton for the day (day pass included!) and the kids preferred Kolea!
