Why guests LOVE our home? Whole house in Makaha Valley, Oahu's West Side, Leeward Coast — sleeps 12, private hot tub, backyard pool, mountain and ocean views, Makaha Beach 5 minutes away. All for under $100 per person per night. The less-touristed, more-local Hawaii. Perfect for multi-generational families and friend groups who want the whole house, not adjacent hotel rooms. Pets welcome.
Who This Home Is Built For?
This house works best for families of 8–14 traveling together — multi-generational trips, family reunions, friend groups, milestone birthdays, or any occasion where your group wants to stay under one roof instead of booking 3–4 hotel rooms. Most of our guests are groups of 10–12 from the mainland (often California and Pacific Northwest) visiting Oahu for 5–7 nights.
How Is the Home Laid Out?
The layout is ideal for large families and groups:
Master Bedroom: QUEEN bed, en-suite bathroom, walk-in closet + optional twin fold-away bed
Guest Bedroom: Queen bed + optional twin fold-away bed, and a bathroom
Bunk Bed Bedroom: Bunk twin-over-full bunk bed + one twin bed, + a 4th optional twin fold-away bed
Living Room: two LazyBoy QUEEN sofa beds that can turn into QUEEN beds at night
Why Guests Choose This Over a Hotel?
A family of 10 booking hotel rooms in Waikiki or Ko Olina would spend $500–800/night across 3–4 rooms, with no kitchen, no shared living space, and no yard. Here, your whole group stays together in one home for a comparable or cheaper total nightly rate, with a full kitchen to cook meals, a hot tub in the backyard, and room for kids to run around. You're splitting one nightly rate across 10–12 people — often under $100 per person per night for a whole house in Hawaii.
Is It Spacious and Worth the Price?
Yes — it’s rare to find a legal short tern rental, single family home this size and this new (built in 2023), especially one that’s so well-equipped for families.
Kitchen and common areas:
Full-size kitchen with everything you need to cook for a large group — pots, pans, dishes, utensils, rice cooker, coffee maker, blender, and a large dining area. Open-concept living room connects directly to the kitchen, so the whole group can be together. There's a foosball table for kids and adults.
Outdoor space:
Private backyard with a hot tub (seats 6), BBQ grill, and outdoor seating. Mountain and ocean views from the property. The backyard is fully enclosed — safe for kids to play.
With 1,582 square feet of step-free living, flexible sleeping arrangements, and peaceful surroundings, it offers a great balance of space, comfort, and value.
Is the Home and Neighbourhood Safe?
Yes — the community is protected by 24-hour gated security. There are also outdoor security cameras (front door, sides, backyard, driveway), along with one camera in the garage facing the garage door — all outward-facing and there for safety and peace of mind.
Makaha Valley is a gated residential community on Oahu's quieter west (leeward) side. There is 24/7 security at the gate. The area is known for reliable sunshine (less rain than Waikiki or the North Shore), uncrowded beaches, and mountain views. It feels more local and residential than the tourist areas — which is exactly what our guests tell us they love about it.
Can Visitors Stop By?
Absolutely! The home is for quiet stays, so only registered guests are allowed overnight. If you're unsure whether your plans are a fit, just reach out — happy to clarify.
Baby & Kid-Friendly?
Definitely. As parents, we’ve stocked the home with thoughtful touches to make traveling with little ones easier: High chair, Pack-n-play, board games, etc
