Hillcote is a beautiful family-friendly 4 bedroom 'home away from home' providing luxurious holiday accommodation for 8 guests + 2 babies in Wadebridge, North Cornwall.

Perfect for multi-generational holidays, Hillcote has beautiful, ornate period features and luxurious furnishings. It is extremely well equipped as guests’ needs have been carefully considered. Hillcote has 2 living rooms, superking beds, enclosed garden and decking area with parking for 3 cars.

Excellent location in a quiet area but only 5 minutes' walk to the centre of Wadebridge with shops, cafes, restaurants, cinema, playgrounds, bicycle hire, supermarkets. The Camel Trail (18 mile mostly off road track) for walking/cycling to Padstow or Bodmin only 5 minutes' walk away. Beautiful beaches and Newquay Airport only a short drive.

• Beds are extremely comfortable with English hand made mattresses. Bunk beds have full adult size single mattresses. Black-out blinds / curtains, hairdryers in every bedroom.

• Spacious Kitchen and Dining Room. Large dining table seating 8, breakfast bar/kitchen island. TV with Sky Package and Netflix. Googlenest hub bluetooth speaker. Double doors onto pretty decking area and enclosed garden.

• Kitchen with high-end equipment, dinnerware and glassware such as Le Creuset, Dualit and Zwilling. Large fridge and separate large freezer. Double oven, large induction hob, extractor fan, microwave, food processor. Nespresso coffee pod machine, cafetiere, kettle and 4 slice toaster. Washing machine, separate tumble dryer, full size dishwasher.

• 2.5 x Bathrooms. Family bathroom with very large bath, separate shower enclosure, WC and sink. Master Bedroom Ensuite with overhead shower and handheld shower, double sinks and WC.

• Handwash, Bodywash, Shampoo and Conditioner provided. Garden outbuilding W.C, basin and external shower.

• Child Safety. Furniture has been sourced with rounded edges or has corner protectors. Large or heavy pieces of furniture and TVs have been discreetly bolted to walls.

• Dog Friendly. Up to two well behaved dogs are welcome. Dog bowls provided. Enclosed and secure back garden. Lots of walks along the Camel Trail and local countryside.

Things to do

The house is just a short walk from the centre of Wadebridge, a vibrant town that is located on the tidal River Camel. There’s plenty for the whole family to do in Wadebridge with many independent shops, a cinema, parks, playgrounds, leisure centre with swimming pool, tennis courts, football pitches, cricket ground, green bowls and a large selection of coffee shops and restaurants.

Wadebridge is an ideal base to explore North Cornwall and is in easy reach of popular destinations such as Rock, Polzeath, Port Isaac, Trevone, Padstow, Newquay and Bodmin Moor. A short drive from Hillcote will take you to some of the best bathing beaches in the county such as Trevone, Daymer Bay, Constantine Bay, Harlyn and Trebarwith Strand.

There are plenty of local attractions for families to enjoy such as Newquay Blue Reef Aquarium, Camel Creek Adventure Park, Bodmin and Wenford Railway, Lanhydrock National Trust estate, Cardinham Woods, The Eden Project, The National lobster hatchery at Padstow, Kidzworld Cornwall and many more.

The house is also the perfect base to hire bicycles, or walk the fabulous Camel Trail, which takes the route of the old railway line that runs from Bodmin to Padstow. If you want to bring your own bikes, there's plenty of storage space.
