Great place to stay!

Super easy to check in. Beautiful view outside. We sat outside our first night just to view all the amazing stars! Great location! Right next to the town for restaurants and also near the attractions we came for. All amenities were here. I would definitely recommend this place.

Pleasant Stay at a Nice Guesthouse

I spent six nights in this guesthouse during a July 2025 photography tour with some friends. The apartment was clean, neat, quiet, and well suited for one or two people (I was solo.) Sitting about 8 miles west of Vik there was a great view of the ocean whcih was several miles away. The owners stopped by a few times to see if I needed anything--I didn't but appreciated their attention. The kitchenette was fine for me but I would recommend the owners put in a microwave to warm up prepared foods from the nearby grocery store. There is a two-burner stove top, which I didn't use, an electric kettle, a toaster, and a coffee maker and of course a small refrigerator. There is a dishwasher but I didn't use it. The bathroom has a heated floor which was quite nice on cool mornings. Overall, I give it 4/4 stars and if I'm in the Vik area again, I would definitely stay here.

Beautiful location. Very quiet and serene. Perfect spot for traveling between Vik and Hofn. Room has everything you need for cooking your own meals. The host is very quick to respond to whatever questions you may have. We would definitely stay again!

Enjoyed our stay, despite heavy rain and strong winds during our two-night visit. The apartment was well provisioned overall (a microwave would have been nice) and clean. I did stump my toe multiple times as there is a "ledge" between the main room and bathroom, but finally learned my lesson :) The one area of improvement is communication/check-in. We were not provided any instructions ahead of time, and no one replied to the message I sent that morning to confirm the check-in process, so I just knocked on the main house door when we arrived at 5PM. The young women who answered had me follow her into the house, but that felt very awkward going through their laundry room with all of their personal items - especially as it turned out that the apartment was open and the key on the table. I would recommend just letting occupants know ahead of time which apartment they were assigned so guests could go straight there.

Property host was not easy to communicate with and not very friendly, which was surprising considering the rental units are right on the family’s driveway. I had to go up to the family home to ask what unit I would be staying in, to which a child answered the door. Odd check in process, but the unit itself is nice. Spacious and clean and good location.

We had a wonderful one night stay here. Beautiful surroundings and you can park ur car right up front. If I can point out one thing, maybe adding a microwave would be perfect. But just a suggestion. Everything was great.

This property was just of the main road, pretty close drive to Dyrhólaey Lighthouse Viewpoint and Reynisfjara Beach, and about 20 min away from Skogafoss. The bed was big (king-sized) and was quite comfortable. We like how there was a proper dining table. But what we didn’t like was there was no microwave or oven. There was a stovetop but it’s hard to store food in the fridge when you can’t reheat it anyway. Or you still have to put it in the stovetop to reheat it. So inconvenient, especially when traveling with young kids. Also, when we came, there were a lot of dishes in the dishwasher that were clean but I still had to put them away. The parking was convenient though as we could park just in front of our apartment. The view was also nice. Overall, it was okay, however, for the price, we expected much better amenities.
