Staff were friendly and welcoming. Cute little rooms. I was on the top floor with a balcony and it is tucked in an alleyway yet nice to sit out on in the evening to relax without the busy noise of the street.

Hotel Caprera is the perfect hotel for anyone travelling to Venice who needs a simple and modest stay near the train station. Don’t expect this hotel to be anything crazy, because it’s not, but for what you’re paying for, it’s great. The staff were super nice and quite welcoming. Would visit again!

Great little hotel, ideal for the solo traveller

Great little hotel in an ideal location, just the job for my trip recently. The staff were all very friendly & helpful & the service was excellent. The room wasn't large, but it was a single, & was more than sufficient for my needs. I would happily stay here again if I come back to Venice in the future!

NO ELEVATOR. Very noisy since the stairwelll windows are open.for ventilation. Bathroom is tiny, room is tight for 3.people. No kettle or coffeepot. The room was very old looking. But the staff was helpful and nice. Gave us a small Venice banner when we left which was a nice gesture. Close to train station.and vaporetto stop. Lots of shops and dining nearby.

It is very clean and friendly. It does get a little loud in the mornong as the floor in room 14 was very noisy. They did offer to change rooms so I give them great credit for that. My suggestion would be to install some USB plug-ins. Overall, it’s ok. It is very easy, walking from the train station and close to the canal.

We loved staying at Hotel Caprera. The hosts were always friendly, considerate, and helpful. We loved being greeted by the cute dog too. Our room was basic but certainly large enough. The bathroom was great - included a bidet, large washbasin and shower with screen (not curtain). The bed was comfortable and large. The airconditioning was very effective. It cooled off enough most night to sleep with the windows opened and the hotel provides an electronic mosquito deterrant. The hotel is not all shiny bells & whistles but it did feel like home and was a great experience.

The speed and efficiency of the workers. The family like atmosphere and the fact they were available during a festival to help with our air conditioning. Top Notch! Clean, and the breakfast was excellent. The owner, and I think his son among others, were very friendly (they all knew Italian and English, and accepted our small knowledge of their language). Would go again if I ever came back to Venice/Venezia. I'll miss it.

Gem in a private alley

We are very happy with the convenient location to the Santa Lucia Train Station. Many shops and cafes right around it. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The morning when we were leaving, we saw the cleaning lady wiped the staircase and handrails. We were 3 people in our party. The extra bed is actually a bump bed. I ended up sleeping in the small bed. It is too soft for my bed. Other than that, it was a very pleasant experience. I definitely will recommend any one. W

Off the Main walkway

Excellent stay. Very close to the Train station which made it easy with our luggage. Down a little walkway which was nice . You're away from the main walkway. Arrived early, was able to store our luggage. Friendly gentleman at the front desk. Cute dog, Mativ I think. loved to be petted. Over all, it was exactly the way I expected the room to be. Some people forget you are going to another Country, and most likely the building was constructed a long, long time ago. Would definitely go back.

Out of 6 hotels we stayed at during our 2 weeks holidays, this was by far our favourite! The hosts went above and beyond to provide an exceptional experience! The hotel is small and has a very comfortable and safe feeling and is very clean! There is always someone at the front to greet you and provide anything you need. The location was perfect!
