We loved our stay this Gem of a Hotel.

Cute grounds, quiet, right downtown, amazing friendly staff, extremely clean and comfortable room, immaculate hotel recently renovated...all while being extremely reasonably priced. Makes me want this hotel to follow me around France when I return so I can have his experience the entire trip.

Great large room that is very, very clean. Excellent location! Very quiet and very quaint. Easy walk to the downtown and there you will find fantastic restaurants and amble shopping. Staff here are very helpful. Great location for those seeing the WWll beaches or even a day trip to Mont St Michele. We wanted to stay longer!!

The staff was top notch! Breakfast was very nice. Location was great! The hotel is in the center of everything. Comfortable bed!

Outstanding and beautiful hotel right on the beach. Great restaurant too!

Cute boutique hotel. Pros: friendly staff with good accommodations. Cons: the floors had crumbs and hair from the previous occupants. A fan would be helpful. Breakfast was adequate, but not abundant. We are vegetarians, so not as much for us to eat. I would stay here again, but not purchase the breakfast. It was humid and warm which required us to sleep with our window open. the noise from cars made sleeping a challenge. A fan would have made the experience much more enjoyable, especially for...

So much thanks to making my stay in Normandy wonderful! Florence is an incredible host. Her guidance provided us with so much insight of Arromanches and beyond. Our accommodations were amazing! Our suite that allowed us to be serenaded to the sound of the waves of the Normandy Coast through the double hung windows of this beautiful nineteenth century manoir. Breakfast was a must as we were woken to the aroma of fresh baked croissants and the sound of vintage 1940's music. My visit to the...

This is a great little hotel! It has a super location in Bayeux with a very friendly and trusting staff. There is coffee and wine in the lobby that you pay by putting money in a jar. There are umbrellas for you to use if necessary. Travelers there were polite and respectful. Many bedrooms have a single bed in the room as well as a double or queen. I think it is best for a group of friends, family, or solo travelers. It didn't have the feel of a romantic get-away.

I gave this hotel a five-star rating in every category without hesitation. I can honestly say that this is one of the finest hotels I've ever stayed in. No detail is left unattended, no question by staff or request unanswered, no disappointment in food quality, and obviously, no maintenance deferred in the facility or spacious grounds and rooms. This is a sign of outstanding management and careful selection of staff. I heartily recommend this hotel for anyone who wants to get away from the...

Had a wonderful stay in the terrace suite! Highly recommend. The staff was excellent and booked us dinner reservations

Absolutely stunning. Quiet, beautiful grounds (friendly grounds keeper, Lee). Very welcoming staff, anything you needed. Rooms spectacular. Felt very much in the French countryside. Would have stayed for at least 2 nights maybe 3 to enjoy the property and spend time exploring the beaches and small towns. Highly recommend. Loved our time.

This is a charming hotel within walk of the shoreline and the nearby village. The proprietor could not have been nicer or friendlier. He made it clear he was there to serve his guests and he did so with warmth, friendliness, and efficiency. We were a family of four, and when he realized the two children with my wife and me were adults he moved us into two separate rooms rather than the single "family" room we had booked. And he did this without our requesting it and at no extra charge! If you...

Beautifully restored 12th century chateau. Modern bathroom inserted into period bedroom with antique furniture. Beds comfortable, adequate lighting, and nice tv. Over the top breakfast with everything one can imagine. Chef/owner prepared dinner by reservation smelled incredible, wished we had known in advance. Good location for Normandy, D-Day tours, and Bayeux Tapestry Museum.

Travelled alone and had a wonderful stay. Access code was provided for late check-in. There is limited parking and a €5 daily fee to park inside the gates but enough parking for free just outside. Cozy guesthouse and had a fantastic room with double bed and huge bathroom. Outside space is perfect for warm weather stays. Continental breakfast is included and served by very welcoming hosts. The guesthouse is situated in a great location with walking distance of all what Bayeux has to offer. ...

The reviews we read were right! This was an amazing stay. This little farm is much prettier, more picturesque, and overall more lovely than the pictures could possibly suggest. After a long day of walking and sightseeing, this hotel put us right at ease. The staff was friendly, the restaurant was wonderful, and the room was perfection. The room's are wonderfully decorated in an old French style. Every amenity is available from a hairdryer, coffee maker, sitting area, to spa quality shampoos...

The staff was friendly and helpful. Parking was good. We were able to walk around town from here without a problem. I would recommend this hotel if you want to stay in this area

Valerie and David were devoted hosts. They took time to sit with us at breakfast our first morning and give us information of Bayeux. The room was very comfortable and lovely. Breakfast consisted of French bread, pastries, local cheeses, homemade jams and cakes. The rooms surround an old stone courtyard. It used to be a blacksmith area originally. We enjoyed our visit and recommend it highly.

I was delayed and wouldn't arrive at the hotel until after 10:00pm. I had not had dinner and called to see if they had a restaurant and if it would be open when I arrived. They informed me that it would be closed at 10:00pm but they would have a salad for me when I arrived. After I checked in they brought a fantastic salad to my room that far exceeded my expectations. Also, I am an "only English" speaking visitor. The hotel staff went above beyond to help me with taxi's, trains and taking care...

The Hotel Chateau de Bellefontaine truly lives up to its reputation. Our taxi entered through the iron gate into a relaxing environment. We were greeted by a flock of ducks, geese and swans. Seating provided postcard views of the grounds and distant church steeples. We were greeted as if family coming for a visit. After a brief check-in we were taken to our room on the top floor. It was a generous size with a window overlooking the back lawn. The bath provided two sinks so getting ready for each...
