the place is old and has a weird smell. the bathroom is right at the entrance, and the sink is so shallow that water splashes out when you wash your face , brush your teeth. The mattress is way too firmhowever, the shower works fine, and it's a quiet environment .

We had an excellent stay. Very quiet suite. Good size room for the price as well. Has a TV and was able to access something to watch. The appliance are okay. Bed was very comfortable. I would stay here again.

Great Host

James is a wonderful host, always there to greet with A smile and a reserve spot on the street. Looks after the blinds outside when it gets a little warm air conditioning is always on when needed. There's a fan in the room. Perfect little spot if you're staying in Coquitlam or on a business

Quiet cozy room in Greater Vancouver

Clean, bright and quiet despite being next to a busier street. Sheets and bed were comfortable. It was nice having the big window that looked out onto back of property. Hosts are kind and respectful. Room is a good size and feels spacious yet cozy at the same time thanks to the high ceilings. Ample closet for shoes and clothing. Nice to have the fridge for storing left overs from meals. Only 5 minute drive from the HWY 1 and HWY 7. Good value for the price.

James and June are both amazing hosts. The suite was just as described and all necessities are also included just to stay comfortable. It was very thoughtful of James to share all his findings around the neighbourhood and many more. Truly very approachable and friendly host. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to travel to BC seeking a cozy place and affordability, then search no more this is you most ideal place.

Bright big, quiet, very clean room perfect for a short stay

Clean and quiet. Plenty of on street parking on a fairly busy street on the front side of the house. Covered entrance into the bathroom which was nice as it never stopped raining while we were there allowing us to leave our wet gear outside. The bedroom is a room that would otherwise lead to a hallway of the main house so we felt we had to be overly quiet . Otherwise it was perfect stay. hawere

Quiet and Clean, Nice Place to Stay

Would stay here again. Communication with the host was clear and prompt, room is small but has everything you need other than a kitchenette to make your own meals or a sink to wash dishes. More of a private hotel room than a suite. Deck with fireplace is a nice touch but we didnt use it. If you have a car, Coquitlam is a nice area to stay in the Lower Mainland if you want to save money and be away from the loudness of Vancouver City Center.

Nice room, good location, great host

I stayed for a 3 day visit to Vancouver. Clean room, matched the description, good pricing, good location. Hosts were very helpful, great communication. Enjoyed my stay. Would certainly return. The only thing that I found odd is vrbo listing quoted a different base price but when I went to book price jumped by $30. I tried couple times with same results. Then I just booked. It was still a good price for the room, but found it odd that quote & actual had a significant difference in price.

The hosts were kind and courteous upon my arrival. Since my trip mainly involved parks and hiking, James provided me with some very helpful info about certain bus lines and places I could reliably get groceries and snacks. This info was particularly useful for traveling around on Sunday, with the bus service around Coquitlam being available only every 30 minutes. This room had a comfortable bed and a vertical fan that helped blow in air that was cool enough for me to sleep well. The fridge was large enough to store the foods, leftovers and beverages (just make sure to not use the mini freezer box for ice cream). Overall I was very satisfied with my stay!

Clean room, decent stay

Communication with host was excellent. Room was clean, bed was comfortable. There was a coffeemaker and filters, but no coffee provided. The coffee maker was not cleaned from the previous guest, it had dried burnt coffee on the bottom. We had to soak it overnight with hand soap and hot water and it rinsed clean in the morning..There were teas available, just no coffee. There were also no teaspoons available. Since we were visiting from out of town it would have been nice to watch local news in the morning but there was no cable signal, just access to YouTube, etc.. In summary, our stay was decent, just a couple of minor things for the host to be a little more attentive about. We would recommend this room.for anyone visiting.
