Thank you for stopping to check out Eagles Call Guesthouse. Our family of 3 generations welcomes you explore Union Bay and the surrounding Comox Valley.

We have been offering this vacation accommodation in Union Bay since 2019, and have hosted many happy families and friends. In 2024, our family decided to switch from a Property Management service, exclusively over to VRBO. As a result, the 38 guest reviews we accumulated prior to that could not follow our property or be displayed here on this listing. Of those 38 reviews, 34 were 5 stars. I only mention this because I understand how important it is when deciding on a vacation rental, to hear reviews from others with 1st hand experience of a place, to help with making your decision. Eagles Call Guesthouse, a 3-bedroom, 2-bath single-level vacation rental with 180-degree ocean views over Union Bay. Gather your group to enjoy this perfect setting with family and friends. Located a 2-minute walk from Baynes Sound, this home has been lovingly re-imagined and rejuvenated since being built in 1930. Selective updates, mixed with the intentional preservation of the family home's original charm, results in a beautiful, comfortable, and welcoming mix of new and old.

We stayed for 5 nights with our family of four plus the grandparents and the house was perfect for our group. The house is really cute and well equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We recommend this rental and hope to stay again in the future. Fantastic View

Check in was straight forward, Shelly was great to deal with. The suite was very clean and the kitchen had everything you could imagine and a few recipes on the inside of the cupboards. The property isn’t directly on the beach, but close and an easy walk for a swim or paddle boarding. A very relaxing stay.

The place was better than expected. A lot of little extras made it even better. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and the home was very, very clean. Communication with the owner was excellent. She checked in to ensure that we were happy and if we needed anything.

Fantastic Place with the best host

We came here for the Canada Day long weekend from 28th June to 1st July 2025..the place was in pristine condition more beautiful than it's pictures. Shelly the host was so on top of things and such an amazing communicative person. The kitchen was fully stocked with spices, coffee, sugar, creamer, oils, all most everything.. the fire pit had a propane tank that could be used for the bar b que grill as well, we had super wifi connection so we could enjoy video games at the end of the night and the bathroom was fully stocked as well, basically the property had everything we needed, we had a wonderful time, will definitely come back again..Thank You Shelly

Very clean. Some parts of the home nicely updated and other parts are in original condition. Well stocked and lots of extras included. When booking it appeared that the home was beach front which it is not but there is a view. Yard is nicely maintained.

Spectacular View and accommodation

This beautiful house was well stocked with everything you would need to cook with. Lots of space for everyone. Great walk to the beach. Walking distance to local store. Definitely coming back.

Nice but

The front living space and master have been updated only. The queen bed in the second bedroom is a noisy and lumpy. The pillows could be replaced for the second bed as well. Master bed room pillows had no substance either.

Great house, good location

The property is clean and the kitchen has everything you need to stay in if that is what you want. The view from the living room is spectacular Union Bay is a quaint little village (maybe less than a village), but it is very close to Courtenay and food stores. Shelley was great in facilitating our stay.

Perfect home for a weekend getaway

This property was perfect for our group - The kitchen was fully stocked with every utensil, tool and appliance that we needed to cook our meals. The set up of the rooms was perfect for us to have separate spaces if we wanted alone time, but still feel like we were together. We loved that we had use of the BBQ and fire pit. Everything was easy to find and I immediately knew Shelly, the wonderful host, was super experienced because everything we regularly would've needed to bring, was already there - from beach towels, to skewers for roasting marshmallows, to extra blankets. I can't express enough how much we enjoyed our time. I would definitely book this property again for a great place for a weekend getaway with friends!

Great vacation spot

This property was great for the whole family. It was a beautiful property and had everything you needed to make the stay comfortable. There was a lot to do in the surrounding area and had great views when winding down at the end of the day. Would stay here again!
