This place was so nice to stay at. The staff was the highlight. So friendly and kind they all were. This place is a short walk to the beach and to the town where there are tons of bites to grab or places to see.

Fantastisk hotel. Midt i rismarkerne, men stadig tæt på ubud centrum (15 min gang).
Sengen var lidt hård og man bliver vækket af haner omkring kl. 6. Det betyder dog også man er midt i naturen hvilket har sin charme. Dejligt poolområde
The place is as pretty as the pictures.
There’s wifi, proper air conditioning, working kitchen, and I do wake up with that beautiful sceneries.
Staffs are very friendly. One thing though, there were only 2 restaurants around and close quite early. So manage your time well.
The staff at Cahaya are friendly, helpful and attentive. We were served breakfast in our villa each morning at whatever time we picked. Already planning a trip back!
Highly recommend Cahaya Villa Ubud. Just over 1-1.5km walk to Campuhan ridge and Ubud centre so don't need local transport. This place is located on a path that is not accessible by car so make sure you call when you arrive at the entrance, otherwise it's around a 1km walk with your luggage. The garden view villa we stayed in wasn't a top notch elite villa but was cute, serviceable and peaceful. The area in which it is located is beautiful with the surrounding rice fields. The people running the facility are the best I have encountered in all of Bali, the young men that work there are top quality with great manners. They have a cute little dog named Toby (or Tobi) that my kids loved playing with. Will definitely stay here again 100%.
This place was just off the beaten path but close enough to everything you’d like to see and visit in ubud. The walk to the villa is so lovely and scenic. The villa grounds are manicured and picture perfect. The stay was lovely and the staff are so kind. Would definitely recommend and stay again.
Beautiful and tranquil place in the middle of rice field. The children enjoyed playing with geckes, frogs, toads... The staff are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.
Cahaya is tucked away on a small road that can only handle scooters and pedestrians (tip: don’t arrive at night, it’s a 2km walk from the main road), but it’s still close to everything in town. The family who runs Cagayan are super kind and attentive. There are only a couple villas total, so lots of privacy and pool-to-yourself time. I’m really happy we chose to stay here.
I had booked the Triple Room, 1 Bedroom, Kitchenette, Garden View for 4 adults for 3 nights. We were shocked to realize that we had to either walk for 20min or ride a bike for 10min to the hotel without luggage. Luckily the hotel staff, two young boys, came over to pick us up and drop us off at the hotel.
We were given a menu for our breakfast with limited choices available and the same menu was provided every day. The food is nice but it gets boring eating almost the same thing every day. I think some changes (Alternate menus) could be made to that as all the previous hotels I have stayed in including a breakfast buffet with a wide selection.
The room description states that it consists of 1 Queen Bed and 1 Large Single Bed (Sleeps 4 guests). However, we were charged extra for the 4th guest and received a really small bed in which one cannot turn around while sleeping. Besides that, the beds did not feel very comfortable to us as we felt like we were sinking inside it.
Apart from those, we thought we could request for transportation from the hotel staff during our stay. However, we were told that we had to find our own way back to the villa. Hence, we had to hire a motor taxi to drop us off at the villa when we were returning to our room in the evening, which cost about Rp 50,000 for 4 people. Sometimes, the staff offered to bring us back when they were available which was very thoughtful of them.
Overall, I think the staff made us have a pleasant stay! Thank you! :)
Truly lovely spot for a quiet countryside break. We stayed 6 days, and with each passing day, we liked it more. The room/villa and patio were great, though kitchen facilities severely limited. Breakfast was great. It is a half-hour walk to town--motorcycle taxis are cheap, but not available after dark, so you're kind of stuck. Staff were always responsive, but often needed prompting--it's a very small (only 3 villas), new place.
Amazingly friendly and helpful staff. My only problem was that the last 1-2 kms to the hotel is not driveable so you should know you will be hauling your luggage/ children on foot or calling the hotel to beg for a motorbike to come pick you up. Beautiful and peaceful location but nothing going on after dark- no food available. And the kitchenette is completely empty of cooking utensils so you can't really prepare food other than what is already prepared or very easily prepared. Also, the tv does not work. But it is pretty, clean, and an experience. The staff was all really great.
Very beautiful location and nice new buildings. Comfortable interiors. Quirky bathroom. My only complaints are the isolation. I did not know when I booked that the last 1-2 kilometers to the hotel are undriveable. You can call and they will come pick you up on a motorbike but this is not the place to have large luggage or babies. I had both. So you are out 1.5 km or so from anything else so just running into town to eat or buy something is not an option. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel but you will be paying double using it and it is only open until 7pm (might be 8pm.) With small children there is no where on the property to let them play. There are stairs and narrow paths between rice paddies. That is it. My twin toddlers wanted some freedom to roam but there was no where for that. I would say this isn't a great place for kids but for a solo traveler or couple who want to relax in a beautiful area without connection to the outside world for a day or two, this is great. Also, the tvs seem to just be ornamental. Absolutely no reception of anything. When night falls it is quiet.
The villas are perfect and we had a fantastic time here. They are only 10 minutes walk from Ubud along a track with some lovely restaurants, but still provide a really quiet and peaceful respite from busy Ubud. The scenery is beautiful and all the staff friendly and helpful. We stayed in a few places around Ubud and this was far and away the best!
This is a small place with three villas smack in the middle of a rice field. Beautiful views to wake up to and calm and quiet in the nights. Reaching here is a 15 min walk from the main road. Cars cannot reach here. The hotel will come and pick you up on a motorcycle if you ask them.

Fin lille sted
This is the most beautiful place we ever stayed. Waking up to the amazing sight of rice fields and the local farmers doing their business. The breakfast is as picture perfect as the room view - and tasty too! Polite, friendly and helpful staff. Staying amidst the Campuhan Ridge is a treat but remember a flashlight if you venture out to Ubud at night. We would definetely stay here again!
Let me start by thanking Made and the staff for shipping my ring that i left all the way to the Philippines! I like how the villas are just a 10 min walk from Ubud center. The trail is scenic and surrounded by restaurants and a yoga house. The check in was seamless as we were picked up by 2 staff via scooter. The trail is very narrow a car cant pass by. We had welcome drinks and the villa was superb. The pool was awesome and i wish we had more time to use it. I'm not a fan of using scooters and more of a walker. I got my exercise everyday by walking to Ubud Center. Breakfast was prompt and they even packed up breakfast before we left 5 AM. Nice touch!. Shower was hot and the bed was comfy. We had an excellent view over the rice fields. Overall had a great experience with Cahaya Ubud Villa and well definitely recommend it for fellow friends and family.
