Very last minute booking but did not disappoint. Beautiful room very spacious overlooking the bay. Plenty of coffee facilities and mini toiletries . Comfortable bed and excellent location, value for money with included breakfast

Worth the money.

Easy to find just up from the beach 10 walk into town, good carpark and free if you manage to get a spot. Great food and nice bar.

My room requires refurbishment and the car park is a bit difficult to park in when nearly full. Other than that the staff were good, friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is well placed for both scenic walks and walks into Torquay.

Great Service - Fab Location

Check in was quick and easy. Room was sooooo hot due to all glass fronted room which had been in direct sunlight all day with the curtains open. Asked for another room which was provided without fuss. 5 min walk (max) to beach & bars, harbour & marina about 10 mins away.

A really clean and friendly hotel. Excellent facilities and wonderful sea views. Great location a minute from the beach and promenade. Very friendly helpful staff. I recommend this hotel we had a lovely stay.

Stayed for 3 nights. The staff were very friendly. Breakfast was good and what topped it up was the view whilst eating overlooking the sea. Room was quiet and comfortable. I would definitely stay again if I was in the area and I would recommend this hotel

Lovely view, meals were good but like many old English properties getting up the stairs with large suit cases was a struggle (we are a bit older & travelling from Australia). Really loved it, the staff were friendly & helpful. Convenient to beach & Torre Abbey.

A splendid looking building. The room I was in was overlooking the parking area. It had a view unless a tall vehicle parked in the space in front of the windows. A comfortable room but noisy. There didn't seem to be much sound insulation between rooms. I could hear phone conversations, music and rowdy children being entertained. The room did smell a little - not sure what it was but it smelled a little unpleasant. After the first day I no longer noticed it. If I stayed there again I would ask for a different room and hope it was better. The onsite restaurant food was quite good. I enjoyed the daily included breakfast. A small set of choices, though.

Room number 4 had an awful view of the car park and felt like you were in a goldfish bowl. If you closed the curtains the lighting was too dim to see anything. The floorboards above creaked all night until 3am then I could hear snoring and talking and toilet flushing as if I was in the same room with them! I had no sleep at all. Shouting started about 2am and to be honest I felt shaky and couldn’t sleep. I was alone so I found it intimidating. The shower tray wouldn’t drain away. The tv blocked the mirror. The bed squeaks everytime you move. The whole room is in need of a refurb, The location is quite good and the breakfast was nice. I’d never go back there again.

Ok just for a night while working in the area

Had to pay over £20 for parking our vans in car park as no room outside hotel, place was very tired smells a bit stale, staff were great, food was good, dog in room above me was barking late night, blokes shouting and arguing in corridor’s at 1am. Drunks in bar very loud, avoid if you are travelling with children.

Lovely room and views

Fabulous views, lovely rooms and friendly staff, excellent food and close proximity to beach. Our stay was a little disrupted by workmen doing maintenence work, which we were warned of on arrival but still meant the lovely breakfast views we had booked for were not available. Walls were thin so could hear arguments into the early hours.

Pros + 2 specific cons

Parking Feb -ltd size and ltd accessibility.I imagine it being a nightmare spring/summer. Rm10 - 1) Woke freezing in night due to broken Radiator.Donned running tights, 2 tops, hoodie and duvet from 2nd bed..Apparently fixed in the morning but only subsequently felt hot for aprox 1hr. Came back to very cold rm mid afternoon.-rm rad cold, bathrm rad warm. Told by manager due to heating timer.I queried rad discrepancy, promised heater. Returned in night , freezing rm, no heater. Heater finally supplied. 2) V. noisy , Seemingly v, amplified/loud creaking overhead footfalls woke me 1st night. Mild Coughing from another rm actually sounded as though in mine. 3)Decent sea view PROS - location, good wi fi , excellent staff and breakfast, lovely bay viewing conservatory. Pool - v big in splashing/playing around terms but too small for swimming. I used Derwent TLH ,5 mins walk, for laps

For a 1-night stay this hotel had everything we needed. Central location, easy parking, a spacious room with a comfy bed (and the added bonus of a sea view) and a tasty breakfast in the morning. My wife and I visit Torquay a few times and have stayed in most of the hotels in this price bracket - the Heritage has to be one of the best yet.
