Very beautiful rooms, very clean and extremely quiet! The only thing I didn’t like was the microwave was downstairs in the lobby instead of the room.

Excellent location for a coastal getaway & the bakery across the street is a must visit. Room itself was clean and self-check in was easy. However, it was not the best night of sleep as the bed was overly firm and there is not much insulation from road / pedestrian noise outside.

The property was very clean. We had a room that a direct access outside. The windows had no screens on them. There is a small refrigerator in the room. There is no staff, if you need to talk to anyone. The bakery across the street is very good, but closed on Tuesday/ Wed. There is a great general store across the street, but no other restaurant within walking distance.

It is an old hotel with lots of charm (on the outside). The lobby falls a little flat and could use a little more character and tbh... it smelled unpleasant! The room was very nice and looked as expected as shown in the photos. The king bed was very nice and comfortable, however the pillows were not - they went flat as soon as you laid your head on them. I think an addition of a desk would go a long way. The walls are thin so I heard our very loud neighbors talking on the phone 11pm at night. Love the contactless check in. There is a general store and lovely bakery across the street so that was nice!

The room was clean and comfortable and we had everything we needed. The mattresses are very firm. We didn't have a problem with that but it's worth noting. More like a thick tatami mattress. I would love to see the window lock properly and the hallway diffuser scent a little more light and neutral, but other than that, I have no complaints. We love the building and town. It's so charming and everyone was friendly. Check-in and out was a breeze.

Boutique little hotel with lots of history and character. Quiet and great location about 10-15 min from multiple beaches. Across the street is a fantastic bakery with good coffee as well as a little general store with a decent amount of snacks, wine, beer beach toys and other odds and ends. Easiest checking in and checking out. It’s not the most luxurious or fancy, not a ton of amenities. Felt very clean and well taken care of. I would 100% be happy staying there again, because I’m a minimalist. It’s got everything ya need, and nothing ya don’t.

I wanted to like this hotel, but it felt unfinished. We were lucky to arrive Sunday afternoon before the general store closed as there are no restaurants open that evening. Unfortunately there was no table or chairs in our room to eat at and no shelf to prepare items at the sink. Having some plates, silverware, and real glasses in the lobby to share would helpful. And we are of the generation that reads books , but there were no lights in the room bright enough to read comfortably. We were on the ground floor and someone actually looked in our room as he walked by! I would recommend half curtains so there is light but privacy. Finally, contactless check-in is really impersonal. Having someone at the desk for even 2 hours would give a person a chance to address issues are even say “hi” and “welcome”.

I booked my stay here for my dad’s 70th birthday after reading all of the positive reviews. Through Expedia I booked a “double deluxe” room for three people: myself, my dad, and my son. I was surprised when I checked in to see a single bed in the room. No couch, no cot, nothing. Only two towels in the shower. When I called the number provider for guests services (as there is no one at the front desk) they basically just said sorry but there was nothing they could do. Did not offer extra blankets, or a cot, or any sort of compensation. I asked how I am supposed to fit three people in one bed and they basically just shrugged their shoulders and did not offer any help or alternative options despite their mistake. The room I was in was not particularly clean either. The base mattress was stained with yellow. There were crumbs on the floor, and some type of red smear on the wall which I’m hoping was just a squished bug. To top it off, the room is not sound proof in the slightest. Every time a car or motorbike drove down the road (they tend to drive at high speeds) it was very loudly heard in our room. I was hoping for a great weekend to celebrate my dad’s milestone birthday, but unfortunately the experience at this hotel did not make our trip enjoyable.

The hotel has a lot of charm. It's not a big, impersonal chain. The self- serve concept was unusual but it mostly worked. Entry to the lobby was a bit difficult since the "bell" shape was not easy to see. Several guests had a similar problem. Could a big arrow be placed near the keypad to make it more obvious? We were able to find add'l towels in the hallway cabinet. wis there had also been a few more pillows. The little town is also so charming. There's a great Bakery/Coffee shop across the street and a wonderful General Store.

A Charming Old Classic Hotel A really cool, old-fashioned classic hotel with plenty of character. The room was very clean, and the bed was surprisingly comfortable. There’s no staff on the premises, but check-in is easy using your phone. The hotel was also surprisingly quiet, which made for a very relaxing stay. And the location is great. "Route One Bakery & Kitchen" (https://reference-url-citation.invalid/0) is right across the street, with excellent breakfast pastries and good coffee. Their menu includes croissants, morning buns, scones, and other fresh-baked treats. Overall, a unique and comfortable place to stay if you like historic hotels with a little character.

The building is beautifully restored and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The website claims the hotel has organic artisanal coffee, and I found a Kurig in the lobby with organic Kirkland pods which was disappointing. Other than that the stay was great.

The hotel was very quaint and relaxing. It is all self-serve. There is no front desk or anything like that. Staff makes sure you get all the codes you need and are very responsive if you need help. Different, but worked very well for us.

I did not appreciate the ersatz spice electric scent dispensers. If you need to mask something, natural sachets of dry flowers and herbs would be more pleasing and in keeping with your vibe.
