This apartment is located close to the Komagome station, on the JR line, just a few stops from Shunjuku station and a few more stops from Tokyo station, for those on a JR Pass. It was nice not to be staying in the busy areas of central Tokyo. Apartment itself is spacious by Japanese standards (the dining table in the kitchen where we could all sit together was very much appreciated!), was clean and well-equipped, and had a large-capacity washing machine that did a good job with our laundry. There's a balcony off the back of the apartment that wasn't suitable for sitting out, but was useful for hanging our laundry.
Communication with Maki was easy both before and after check-in, which gave us a lot of confidence in our booking. Maki was also really helpful with assisting with anything we needed to ask.
As mentioned in the property description, two Japanese gardens are within easy walking distance of the apartment. A really good public bath (onsen) is 15 mins walk away, and there's a good supermarket in a nearby side-street (about 6 minutes walk) in addition to the usual Family Marts, 7-11s and many restaurants.
The entranceway to the building isn't well kept and could do with some work (not the fault of the apartment owner), but we had no regrets about choosing the apartment itself. We would stay here again if returning to Tokyo.
