"The house was clean and well decorated. It had most everything that we needed. The only thing I wish I would have brought was some dish washing liquid because we didn’t use many dishes and I hated to use the dishwasher for what we dirtied. "My husband and I enjoyed staying at Rivermist. Great place for a quiet and relaxing getaway. The cabin is quaint and cozy. The outside is beautiful. We were there in February and the weather prevented us from getting in the river but we enjoyed the hot tub. Doug was welcoming and helpful with tips on how to maneuver the roads since they had had a melt from a recent snow. Check in and out went smooth. Be sure to allow some extra time upon check out for washing towels and putting them in the dryer. I did cook some meals while there and will say that some of the cookware needs to be updated. Easy fix, tho.Overall, 5 stars."

"Cabin is lovely & pretty clean. The porches with fireplaces, hot tub, & seating are fantastic. There are several different gsnong tables in & out and a great area for the teens to hang out. The downside, that I see often, is that despite the walk-in showers or main level looking easy, this cabin is not for those of us with even slight mobility & balance impairments. (Thats like most). I'm hopeful the owners will add handrails so we can return. "

"Hello, we did enjoy our stay, but there were several issues. The trash cans were both full when we arrived so we had nowhere to put our trash. We at first gave a 5 for cleanliness, however, I answered that a little too soon. Everything we used in the kitchen was dirty. We had to wash all the pots and pans before we used them. There was actually food on many that were put away. The pans definitely need to be replaced. The chairs at the dining room table were in very bad shape. 3 of them were so bad none of us would even sit on them. The house was not set up for the 14 of us, much less the 22 it says it can host. We only found 1-2 blankets and it was very cold in the upstairs bedrooms. Luckily, a few of us had brought some from home. When I opened the bottom cabinet drawer in the island in the kitchen, it fell on my foot giving my a nice bruise across the ridge of my foot. Luckily it happened to me and not one of my guests. (I was hosting the event). The house was great size and the view out the windows were lovely, the house just needs some TLC and the kitchen needs to be gone through. I have a rental in Florida, so I get it, thats why I am being so honest with you. We are looking to return and do the same trip in 2027, however, I would not go back to this property due to the lack of "care" put into it. "

"Riverbend Cabin was great and we will definitely plan another stay. Cabin was cozy and had everything needed. Beautiful river with easy access and loaded with trout. Was fun watching the deer all around the property. The area was very quiet and secluded feeling. Wes provided great communication throughout the whole stay. Could not be more please with our stay at Riverbend."
