"The rooms were neat and tidy BUT in need of a huge upgrade. The bathroom was ancient. The rooms needed a update as well. The place is stuck in the last century. Old and musty scent throughout the building. Not enough staff on the check-in/check-out desk and that's a huge problem now during the tourist season. And DO NOT accept a room next to the parking lot. Noisy and exceedingly irritating all day and night long with people coming and going. In short, it is long past due for a clean up and major update considering you are paying a great deal of money for a simple room! The restaurant opens for breakfast and lunch then closes at 3pm for the day. What the hell is that all about?????"

"Good location, safe and walkable. Our room had non functioning hair dryer and barely functioning phone. It took 4 requests and 24 hours to have hair dryer replaced (which seems ridiculous !) and phone never addressed. I wish they provided breakfast or discount at nearby restaurant. Fruit bowl and coffee/tea isn’t good enough."

"First off, the hotel had no air conditioning. I’ve genuinely never stayed at a hotel without AC, so it never even crossed my mind to verify that before booking. Unfortunately, that became a major issue because Victoria was quite hot during our stay. To make matters worse, the windows had no screens or safety protection. If you’re traveling with a child, opening them feels unsafe, and leaving them open also invites bugs into the room. Cleanliness was mediocre at best. The sheets appeared clean, but the bathroom was extremely dated, and both the floors and walls looked grimy throughout the property. The facilities were equally disappointing. The entire hotel operated with only one elevator, which was constantly overcrowded and painfully slow. The “gym” could barely qualify as one — tiny, no air conditioning, and only a couple pieces of equipment. I don’t normally use hotel pools, but if my child had been old enough to swim, I would not have felt comfortable letting them use this one. The pool area looked just as dirty as the bathrooms, if not worse. For the price, this experience was completely unacceptable. We paid over $400 CAD per night with taxes and booked two weeks in advance, so this was far from a budget stay. On top of everything else, there wasn’t even a vending machine available for water, let alone snacks or food. I will absolutely not be returning. I hope this review helps future travelers make a more informed decision."
