Hotel Casona del Lago

"I enjoyed my stay and I would stay again. The only reason I’m not giving them 5 stars is they had construction going on during the day in a room, and the noise was pretty bad. I don’t suppose there’s anything they can do about it, but I didn’t appreciate it. The staff are all really nice and very helpful. The room I had was spacious and overlooked the water. They also had a great pool to relax in. The complimentary breakfast was very mediocre. I would skip it and just have some coffee and maybe some fruit, and relax on the waterfront terrace before it gets very hot (the heat kicks in around 9:00) or drinks in the evenings after the sun goes down, there’s a very good coffee spot right across from the hotel, the hotel is very very close to the airport and just two blocks to the causeway that takes you to the island, and you can walk everywhere. You can book your tour of Tikal right from the reception desk. The staff are very helpful. I would absolutely recommend this place"

"What a wonderful little hotel! It’s cozy, cute, and has such a welcoming atmosphere. Our room was spacious, spotless, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. We had a great stay and would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend this charming hotel!"

"Absolutely would stay here again. Loved it, beautiful, has heart, feels luxurious and can cater to Western tastes but also very low key and authentically Guatemalan. Lake is incredible. People were wonderful. Frogs and monkeys were adorable. Stay here!"

"This was my third time staying here, its a great place at a good price. The location is great,, 3 minutes walking distance from shopping mall and 10 minutes walking distance from flores island. Great great place"

"Promenade devant l’hôtel en très mauvais état et en partie inondée gâche un peu la vue. La piscine et son bar sont accessibles aux non clients de l’hôtel avec consommation d’alcool. Air climatisé apprécié."
