「This is an amazing house on an amazing property. The house is well appointed and spacious. The pool is enormous, and overlooks the river. We enjoyed watching the tour boats go up and down the river, and passing the goats and chickens on the road. The host has made it very comfortable. The only downside is it is an extremely twisty and steep road down to the house. But totally worth it for the serenity upon arrival.」

「Victor went above and beyond as our host. Before even checking into the house, he helped set up transportation, rental cars, and a restaurant reservation recommended by him. His house was absolutely beautiful, and he greeted us upon our arrival to show us around the property. Thanks to him, we also had a unique lunch experience at this tavern on our first full day in town. Would reccomend to anyone!」

「If there were a gold medal for Vrbo hosts Francisco and Teresa would be overwhelming favorites. They set a standard we have never experienced in a lifetime of travel. 「Le logement est spacieux et l’extérieur est très agréable avec le jardin, les terrasses et la piscine. La literie est confortable et il y a tout le nécessaire dans les salles d’eau (produits et linge). La cuisine est bien équipée mais la hotte est un peu basse. Nous y avons passé deux belles semaines ! Sur les conseils de la propriétaire, nous avons pu découvrir de belles adresses (restaurants, caves, monuments…).」

「Everything was as advertised ,clean and functional. The host went out of her way to make sure that my experience was first class and it was. A big shout out to her neighbor who pitch hit for her When she hurt her leg. It’s very close to the train station maybe five minutes by car and it made the right into Douro very very easy.」

「We had an amazing time here with a group of 8 friends. Alexandra is a fantastic host - she set up a boat cruise, a private chef and wine tastings for us as well as arranged for us to have a driver. The property is wonderful - better than the pictures even. It was very clean and every bedroom had it's own private bathroom. We will definately be back.」

「We spent a lovely week at Casa do Vimieiro. We were 2 couples, and the house was spacious comfortable, and clean. Susana responded to queries very promptly. The countryside is beautiful. My only caution is that driving in the area is not for the faint of heart. Also, people with mobility issues should avoid the house as there are many stairs and uneven steps going into the property.
