This truly feels like our home away from home. The dining area is spacious, and the kitchen is well equipped, with the added convenience of a washer and dryer and a clean, comfortable bathroom. The property is beautifully situated within a national forest, creating a peaceful setting where we could fully relax. Vernon made us feel especially welcome from the start. He is incredibly friendly and warm, and personally reached out to provide detailed information about the property. He went above and beyond to ensure we felt comfortable and well cared for throughout our stay. We spent our Christmas vacation here, and when our car broke down in Taos on Christmas Day, Vernon came to our rescue like a true Christmas angel. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are deeply grateful for Vernon’s kindness and hospitality.

Vernon is amazing! In a world where customer service isn't valued anymore, this place is a gem! I don't think the photos really do justice - the place was a lot bigger than I expected and they have EVERYTHING - coffee, cups, plates, microwave, soap. It was a wonderful stay. Definitely coming back. I don't remember telling them that it was my sons birthday, but sure enough a "Happy Birthday Cameron" cake was waiting and a bottle of wine on ice for me!! Made my day!!

Comfortable and clean!

Very clean and welcoming. Very comfortable. Manager was helpful and came by to meet us, offered support in every was. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the unit. We made our Christmas dinner there and every utensil needed was there for us to use.

The property was perfect for we needed. We had 13 people and plenty of room to spread out. Everything was clean except under the couch cushions when we went to open up the sleeper sofa. The smoke detector decided to start chirping at 11:30 pm so we had to do a bit of circus act to reach them as the ceilings are very high. We bought a new battery and replaced it the next day. Other than that it was a great weekend. Would definitely stay here again.

Our stay recently was amazing the location was great and rooms were really clean! The most impressive part however was the level of service, Vern made our experience wonderful from the moment we booked to our departure he definitely showed a genuine interest in making sure our stay was going to meet and even exceeded our expectations. I can’t say enough about what a nice surprise this was you don’t come across this often enough especially after traveling and staying at many air bnbs the last two years. You can really tell Vern and the rest of the staff went the extra mile to make sure our stay memorable, nothing short of exceptional! We will definitely be coming back!

Vern is the best host I have ever met. We loved him. My kid Zannder loved his CD and took it with him. He is good at his job and the property was clean cozy and charming. The area is just outside taos and quiet. Great place to relax and forget the world

Great place

Tucked away just a few minutes outside of town. Vernon was a great property manager and made us feel welcomed as soon as I first spoke to him. Clean and accommodating for 10 people to be pretty comfy.

Shady-brook Mountain Luxury Suite

Our stay was great. We had a family vacation and the condo was very sufficient for the 8 of us. There were lots of clean towels and bedding for all of us . The manager was very helpful and anything we needed all we had to do was call him. There were a few things that needed to be fixed, nothing major, and all we had to do was tell the manager and he said he would get it taken care of. We also had a kind and generous welcome from the manager when we arrived. Would definitely stay there again.

Vernon was an excellent host! He reached out to us as soon as the booking was made, something that is rare these days. He welcomed us when we arrived, even though it was late at night. The red wine was a nice touch! He was very responsive to our questions and requests. The Kiva suite was perfect for our party of 7 plus a puppy. We definitely recommend this place.

Great value, location, and amenities. Vernon, the host and property manager, was friendly and helpful in every way. The villa we stayed in was spacious and well stocked with everything we needed. The location is just a few minutes drive from town. Our whole family really enjoyed the property and hospitality. I would recommend Shady Brook to anyone visiting Taos.

Property is very well kept and nicely located in the forest. It was very quite. The owners of the property take great pride in providing a perfect stay for their guests. The cabins are nicely appointed, and well stocked with everything you need (but food and clothes). We will certainly stay at Shady Brook again, when in the northern New Mexico area!

Great Stay

Stayed here over 4th of July and Vernon was so helpful. He knew is was my birthday weekend so he had a cake,wine, snacks for our arrival. Plus, the Shady Brook marquis sign had a birthday greeting. We had a trailer with motorcycles etc. on it and let us park it in a secure lot so, that eased our minds when we went to Taos for the evening. I have already recommended it to friends and hope to return soon.

We had a great time! Our condo was beautiful. Vernon and his wife were the best. I can’t thank them enough for making us and all of our family members feel welcomed and appreciated for coming there. We will definitely be returning when we head to Taos again!

Worked well for a family get-together

We chose the Presidential Grand Villa as a site for a family gathering because of the floor plan. We wanted to have multiple bathrooms available for our different family groups and having three bathrooms worked well for us. We cooked at least one meal each day of our stay in the spacious kitchen and though there was some disorganization (for example, lids for some of the pots were in another area of the kitchen and while there were multiple spatulas, they were scattered in different drawers around the kitchen), we did have everything we needed. Upon our arrival, our host had music playing and aroma candles burning while he toured us through the villa and made sure we knew how to work the TV remotes and how to turn on the fireplaces. After that we were left alone to make the space our own for our stay, yet knew that we could contact the host at any time if something was needed. The villa is next to the highway and we did notice that road noise could be loud if the windows were open but was not bothersome when the windows were closed. We also noticed that there were some clothes stored in the dresser and in the closet of the main master suite which we assumed belonged to the owner but there was plenty of storage for our things. The villa is as beautiful as it looks in the online pictures and the floor plan worked well for our family. The location was convenient to both Taos and Angel Fire for day trips and sightseeing. We were comfortable here and enjoyed our stay.

Taos Valley Inn and Resort

Why did I choose this location? It is in the Taos Valley and it is a great place to relax. The interior as well as the mountains will take your breath away. As far as this resort, it was above my expectations. This is definitely a luxury suite and family friendly. I recommend, and will likely go back again another year.

Cute, cozy getaway

The owners could not have been nicer. They’re very accommodating and friendly. Left us wine and homemade fudge which was thoroughly enjoyed. There were several dead flies (thus the lower cleanliness score) on the first floor. It’s not right in the middle of town, but having a kitchen to make breakfast every morning was worth it!

Sleepy Stay

We stayed in the Kiva room and it was nice. It will remind you of a condo that she stocked well. A few things to know, the restaurant isn't open all the time, mostly during ski season so don't plan on eating there but the kitchen in the room is enough to make a nice meal. The cleaning charge, for us $75 per day, is a bit silly since there isn't daily cleaning and given the expense of the room it shouldn't be an additional charge. The Inn keeper I should helpful and eager. He's nice guy and takes good care of the place. We were the only folks there during our stay.
