「This hotel was incredible for many reasons. First off, the view of the islands in the bay is breathtakingly gorgeous. You can hang onto the edge of the beautiful pool and gaze at the beach, water and islands below. There's an outdoor lounge and a restaurant with really good food. The service is top notch. The rooms are clean and spacious. From the balcony, we could hear howler monkeys down below, as well as dozens of exotic bird species. I can confidently say that this was the best hotel...

「My wife and I stayed at Makanas for 10 nights on May 2024. We definitely enjoyed our stay. The studio is nice ans has everything for the stay. The staff (Vane and Leysi are the best) was awesome and prepared the best waffles and gallo pinto ever for breakfast! I would HIGHLY recomend that if you did not rent a 4 wheeler or a car, find somewhere else to stay because Makanas is very far as a walking distance from either bars/restaurants/supermarkets, and taxis are extremely expensive 」

「The property is conveniently located on the Main Street. However, the customer service has room for improvement. For instance, we requested tea and coffee for the breakfast but we were told that only one option was allowed. Also, the breakfast is left outside the room uncovered which leaves subject to animals and insects. Finally we asked for a 110V outlet to plug our electric car, at first the front desk assistant allowed to let us use an outlet inside the reception office later we had to move...
