When in Tamarindo…

Do not miss this opportunity! Antonio and Carmen are as nice as it comes, the house is amazing…the howler monkeys…the evening rain storms and the peaceful atmosphere is wonderful. The part that really sets it apart though is location. Easy to get to Liberia…other beach areas and being outside of the business of Tamarindo truly make it a vacation. All in all, a special experience. Thank you to Antonio and Carmen for making our trip truly Pura Vida!

Beautiful Villa!

This was our first time visiting Costa Rica and we were very happy with our choice of accommodations! The home is beautiful, peaceful, and fairly close to amenities. It was perfect for our group of three couples - with everyone having a master suite. The home is well-equipped with everything you need for a week of relaxation. We hit the grocery store a few times and made breakfast and lunch at home while enjoying the restaurants of Tamarindo in the evening. The driveway is STEEP and hard to find after dark, but we made do. I would recommend a four wheel drive vehicle. Antonio was very responsive to our questions and requests - super helpful. My only recommendation would be to open up the use of the washer/dryer without having to request it - we needed it to dry our beach towels after a day at the pool or the beach each night and had to message to have them unlocked. Overall we had a wonderful trip and would highly recommend the villa for your Costa Rica trip. Thank you, Antonio!

Dream Holliday Villa

We had a perfect holiday staying at the Villa St. Barth! Communication with Antonio was excellent from start to finish. He was there to welcome us when we arrived and provided us with many wonderful recommendations for things to do and places to eat in the local area. He also left us a lovely fruit basket full of fresh local treats!The villa is just as beautiful as pictured inside and out. The pool was spotless and big enough to swim laps. The patio furniture was comfortable and in excellent condition. The grounds consisted of beautiful tropical shrubs and trees, and the sunsets over the pool were spectacular! It felt completely private, meticulously maintained, and very secure.The villa is a bird watchers dream, with more exotic birds coming by than we could count. We were also visited by a large family of howler monkeys who happened to be passing by.Inside, the kitchen was very well equipped, and the beds were all king size and very clean and comfortable. The windows had blackout blinds to enhance a restful sleep. Air conditioning was top-notch throughout the villa.We had cleaning service every second day, including laundry. The cleaners were so kind and did a beautiful job!The location of the villa was ideal. We had our own dream oasis just minutes from a fun beach town, Tamarindo, with excellent shops and restaurants. It was a true privilege to be able to spend our family holiday at Villa St. Barth. We sincerely hope to return!!

Spring Break in paradise

This was our first time to Costa Rica. The house was AMAZING!! Looked exactly as described. Very clean, felt safe, Antonio was very attentive to any and all questions we had. Went the extra mile with suggestions of activities, recommended beaches to visit and dining options. We would 100% stay here again. I shared the listing with 10 of my inquiring friends.

Great family spring break

Highly recommended! Antonio and Carmen are wonderful hosts! The best I’ve come across. House privacy is great yet just a short drive to Tamarindo. A short walk down the hill is a nice seafood restaurant with a friendly atmosphere. The house is as good as the pictures depict!

Perfect Spot to Get Away

My wife, two adult daughters and I stayed here and loved it! The house has a modern European architectural style and minimalist decor. The floors are a white ceramic material, white walls and white cabinets. My wife said it felt very clean. The stainless steel appliances complimented the design. There were "floor to ceiling" windows/sliding glass doors throughout the first floor which gave an open airy feel. The pool is beautiful. It is deep enough at approx 4' and is long enough to swim laps. It is an infinity pool overlooking a valley of sort. The landscape is maintained by a gardener who even showed up during our stay one morning.Being transparent, I would like to balance my review with some room for improvement. The living room furniture appeared to be patio furniture and wasn't that comfortable. The TV is small (perhaps a 40") for such a nice place. I would have expected a larger TV at least 70-75".Overall though, I give the property a "10"!

Amazing place

This was our first time to Costa Rica and this house was amazing. We loved that Antonio was very quick to respond and so friendly! He sent us many recommendations before we arrived which was so helpful! We had chef Maria come to the house one night who came recommended from Antonio! It was a delicious meal that our family loved! The house was very clean and we felt very safe in the area. We even had a visit from 10 monkeys one morning while we had our breakfast outside! The kids loved the pool and swimming each day! It’s a beautiful villa. Highly recommend Antonio and this amazing house!

Beautiful Property, BUT…..

First and foremost, Antonio, the owner was wonderful to work with. He was responsive and had a number of helpful hints. The house itself is exactly like the pictures! It’s a beautiful home set on a beautiful piece of property. BUT…..The noise was A LOT! The home is located on the main road that leads into Tamarindo. Any and all traffic use this road including ALL OF THE TRUCKS. There were so many trucks passing by all day long and it made it very difficult to sit and enjoy the beauty of the pool and landscaping. The engine breaking every few minutes was a lot. Had we known about the noise, we personally would’ve chosen a different home. If noise isn’t a deal breaker for you, then the house is wonderful. But if you want to be able to sit outside and listen for the birds and enjoy a tranquil setting, this may not be the house for you. This does not reflect on the owners at all. They were wonderful. It’s just an unfortunate circumstance.

Wonderful

Paradise

We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. The accomodations were very nice. The pool was fantastic. Antonio was tremendous. The location felt very private. Outside of the owners there were no neighbors. We did get to see the howler monkeys one morning from the patio. It is about 25 minutes from Tamarindo, which I was good with, as we were out of the hustle and bustle but coyld get there quickly. Definitely use Antonio's pindrop, as the driveway is steep and hidden.Outside of the accomodations...- Avellanas beach is great. The drive is a bit rustic but so worth it.- L'Estanco, Green Papaya, and Pangas were great restaurants, including service, atmosphere, and food.-Hidden Beaches ATV tour was fun and took us to some geeat locations. -La Leona private hiking tour was a bit crowded but worth it.

Perfect Home for our Family

The home is accurately represented in the photos. Very comfortable for our family. The pool area is outstanding. The mornings are filled with chirping birds, and sometimes the sound of a howler monkey you can spot in the trees off to the right. Also an adult and baby monkey. The location is quiet and away from the crowds from Tamarindo which can be both a plus and a minus. The grounds are pristine and I did yoga and swam laps in the pool in the mornings. We used Alvaro the driver recommended by the property owner and he met all our needs throughout the week plus planned wonderful excursions for us. A rental car would be more convenient but the driver is also a nice option. The driveway is steep so make sure to get a 4x4. The home has everything you need and grocery stores are available plus a very good seafood restaurant across the street or pizza a mile away. We also hired a chef to cook dinner one night which was a nice evening at the home to relax. The chef was also recommended by Antonio.In terms of safety we felt very safe and the property owner is only a house away. We did not have any problems or issues. The pool and home was cleaned every other day. Laundry was also offered. Lastly the house is very well made, all the doors seal well and bugs and other Costa Rica wildlife stayed outside which was a plus for me! There is also ample lighting outside as well. When I book homes a priority for me is a concierge to help with the trip. Antonio was very helpful!

Villa exceptionnelle

La villa est magnifique, moderne, très bien équipée et entretenue, bien située à l'abri du voisinage mais proche de tous les points d'intérêt. La piscine est immense. Antonio et Carmen sont très accueillants, toujours disponibles et de très bon conseil sur les activités à faire et les lieux à visiter. Je recommande vivement cette villa qui offre des prestations de luxe à tous les niveaux.

Amazing Stay with Attentive Hosts and Beautiful Surroundings

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this incredible property, and it was truly a memorable experience. From the moment we arrived, our hosts, Antonio and his wife, were incredibly attentive to our needs, ensuring that every aspect of our stay was perfect. They were always available to answer any questions and provided wonderful recommendations for local activities. The house itself is absolutely beautiful, with every detail carefully thought out. The interior was spotless and nicely decorated, providing a warm and inviting atmosphere. The exterior was just as impressive, with stunning landscaping that added to the serene and peaceful ambiance. We spent many mornings and evenings just relaxing outside, taking in the lush surroundings. One of the highlights of our stay was the delightful surprise of seeing 5-6 monkeys, including a couple of adorable babies, visiting the property the day before we left. It was such a unique and special experience that made our time here even more unforgettable. Absolutely beautiful!

The property was amazing!!! The pool, the view. Antonio was an amazing host even coming to meet us when we were having map issues. We have travelled all over and what I can tell you is this place is immaculate and exceeds the beauty in the photographs.

The Best Villa in the Area

This is a stunning and wonderful villa! The pool is exceptional, the house is immaculate and the host/owner could not be better. He cares about every detail and has a staff that keeps the property at a 5 star level. We loved everything and strongly recommend Villa St. Barth.

Fabulous Vacation

We are three friendly couples who each had their own ensuite bedroom with fabulous views. Antonio and Carmen made sure our visit was super, and they were always available to help us enjoy the area, their lovely home and have a great adventure. We quickly found the local restaurants and shops and became quite adept at exploring. We swam in the gorgeous infinity pool every day, cooked at home, enjoyed a private chef (Nicola and Elsie) who came in three times and made us gourmet meals fit for royalty, and visited wonderful local restaurants. The time went too fast. We look forward to seeing Antonio and Carmen again and thank them for their great service, cleaning, laundry and happy visits.

Come for the view, stay for the service!

Our stay was exceptional; we had a wonderful time. Antonio was a fantastic host and very responsive to all of our inquiries. The house is everything; the pool and the yard are breathtaking. The incredible thing about the place is it has a housekeeper, gardener, guidebook for excursions, and more. We couldn't get enough of this paradise on Earth!!

Adult Family Vaca

We had wonderful time in Costa Rica and couldn't have asked for a more lovely place to stay! Antonio was an excellent host! He always went above and beyond to be helpful with any requests before and during our stay! The home was beautiful and clean, we all enjoyed the large pool so much! The town of Tamarindo is a few minutes away. If anything, I wish it would have been a little closer but the view from the home was so pretty and peaceful! Uber wasn't impossible but a little tricky. However, Antonio has someone he recommends that you can hire for outings. Thank you Antonio:)
