I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this beautiful historic property in the heart of Swanage. I walked everywhere I wanted to go (beaches, shops, restaurants, bus stops, train stations) and felt perfectly safe doing so. The breakfast was cooked to order and was absolutely perfect! I highly recommend staying here to explore Swanage, Brownsea Island, Corfe Castle, Lulworth Cove, and Durdle Door.

Bill & Michelle are excellent hosts and have a lovely property in Swanage. Room was spotlessly clean and tidy the same for dry room and dining area. We left our Amazon remote in the room that they found and rang us about and offered to mail to us, how very thoughtful- lovely people, fantastic breakfast and great location. We will definitely look to book again when we visit Dorset next.

Lovely B& B, kept exceptionally clean. The breakfasts were excellent. Owners Michele and Bill very friendly and couldn't do enough to ensure I was happy during my stay and had everything I needed.

Exceptional b & b

Exceptional b & b who went out of their way to ensure we had a relaxing and pleasant stay. Rooms and ensuite were immaculately clean. Delicious breakfast with good selection of quality local produce.

The property location was well positioned for shops and pubs, beach was only a short walk. The hosts Bill and Michelle were very welcoming and most helpful, with knowledge of surrounding area's. The B&B was very clean with lovely rooms. The breakfast was great with plenty of choice.

Great B&B

Absolutely great B&B! Fantastic choices for breakfast, which was simple the best we’ve ever eaten in a B&B. Everything super clean, and the attention to detail made this place special. Great care taken to cater for dietary requirements including gluten free biscuits in the room. Lovely shower and spotless bathroom.

A welcome stay

A very friendly welcome. The room was stylish, clean and perfect for our needs. Michele and Bill were great hosts and the daily breakfast was varied, plentiful and tasty. I would strongly recommend this house as it is ideally situated for the town, beach and amenities.

Wonderful bed and breakfast guest house in Swanage

Brillant place to stay! Michele and Bill are excellent hosts and make you feel very welcomed. Tauton house is beautifully decorated with a nautical theme - which is very appropriate with its proximity to the sea at Swanage - and well maintained. Wonderful breakfast. We would highly recommend and intend to stay again.

Everything about the guest house was superb, including the en-suite bedroom and the breakfast. The hosts were so helpful and friendly, they even made our dog welcome with dog bowl, blanket, towel and treats in the bedroom. It was the perfect end to out fortnight's walking holiday on the South West coastal path and we would certainly stay at Taunton House again if we ever returned to the area.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights for a long weekend visiting Swanage and could not have found a better B&B. Michele and Bill are lovely, friendly and welcoming hosts and have created a fantastic, clean and well furnished B&B. We especially enjoyed the breakfasts here which were cooked to perfection and could be fully customisable, such a good start to our days thank you :) We stayed in the top room which was spacious and had it's own spotless toilet and shower. Parking is available behind the house and the seafront is a stone's throw away. We are looking forward to our next visit!

Very welcoming

Lovely home, friendly atmosphere and dog treats! Who could ask for more. Close to the high street and seafront. Good breakfast. Only downside for us was the parking...we were coming from different directions and there is only one spot included with the room - absolutely understandable but left me with having to park down the road in the long term car park. But at only £8 for 24 hours we were fine with that. We would stay again if we find ourselves back in Swanage.

Perfect comfort

Stays in B&Bs don't come better than one with Bill and Michelle - and I hate B&Bs usually I'm strictly a hotel person, but for me this is much more of a small boutique hotel. Love it here & proximity to great diving & the amazing Black swan for dinner completes the perfection.
