Totally Renovated Family Friendly Beach Bungalow

Totally Remodeled in 2021! Lovely 2 bedroom 2 bath bungalow with a kid size bunk room. This cute cottage sleeps up to 6 people comfortably with the sleeper sofa. One may have 2 kids sleep in the kid size bunk to allow for a total of 8 guests. House has a covered porch with a bar top to enjoy, a queen bed in master, double bed in second bedroom and 2 twin bunk beds perfect for kids and a queen sleeper sofa. Enjoy use of 3 Smart cable TV's and internet. Ocean lakes offers an outdoor water park and pool during peak months and an indoor pool during off peak. There is an 18 hole miniature golf course as well a camp store and a cafe on premises. Ocean lakes has a mile long beach you can relax at that is just a short golf cart ride away. Ocean lakes also offers golf cart rentals while there. 1 small pet is allowed under 20lbs with owner approval and extra $125 pet fee. GOLF CART IS NOT INCLUDED! Linens and towels are available to rent for $150! 2 Rolls of toilet paper are supplied. Water refill stations throughout campground. You can rent a golf cart from Ocean Lakes Golf Cars 843-238-8841 *Parking spaces for 1 vehicles ONLY - Ocean Lakes charges $15 per day, per vehicle parking fee that is payable to Ocean Lakes Family Campground. If there are more than one vehicle, overflow parking would have to be utilized (which is still $15/ vehicle / day). **You MUST follow all campground rules! For Ocean Lakes rules, go to their website. (Big examples are NO Firearms, NO Fireworks, NO drones, NO loud noises / partying allowed!)** Families only, guests must be 25 years of age and present during the entire rental period.** One small pet is welcome, but must be kenneled while no one is present in cottage. Perfect size for our family!

This house has been one of our favorites so far. The A/C kept the house cold enough to sleep so we were happy as can be. Taking showers an having enough hot water was no problem at all, never once had it get cold or loss of pressure so that was a plus in my book! Having a covered porch incase it rains was awesome a pretty decent size porch aswell. We would rent again with Aaron again.

First time at Ocean Lakes

This was a great experience. A nice tiny bungalow but six of us still made it work! Once we got a golf cart location wasn’t such a big deal because you just zip around everywhere. This was a good price right before the season hit. Really enjoyed our time.

Good for the money

The host was so friendly and helpful - his communication was unmatched! We needed an extra parking pass one day and he helped immediately. The house was small and nice, all we needed since most of our time was spent at the beach. Our only complaint was a couple of slightly dirty comforters which were easy to clean using the washing machine at the house. Overall it was a good value for the Ocean Lakes property with all of their amenities.

Overall, our stay was very good. The only issues were making the beds which were placed against the side walls. For senior citizens, that was a little difficult. But everything else, including our communication with the host, was fine.

Nice stay in small but perfect little house for our family of five and dog.

Everything was great. The kitchen was super cute although very small and utensils and things were adequate and not the best quality but like I said, adequate. The dinning area provided plenty of room for our family to all eat together inside when it was too cold to be outside and when it got warm enough we had plenty of room outside on the patio. We also found some great restaurants in the nearby area. The showers were great and having two bathrooms was perfect for us. Storage was adequate. We didn't use the laundry but it was good to know it was there in case we needed it. Location was very nice...not too noisy and neighbors were all nice. The TV worked well- we only used the one in living room- I assume the others were same. The patio was spacious and a great hangout for eating or reading...and to put all of our sandals and beach gear. The broom was helpful to avoid sand in the house. The outdoor rinse off area was also helpful. Loved and used the door off the main bedroom to the patio....very much appreciated. Sheets and towels were clean and fluffy and perfect amount. The queen beds were very comfortable. The fans were appreciated. We ended up needing heat and ac....both worked fine. The bunks were also comfortable for our two tweens. Ocean lakes amenities were awesome and we will return! We loved our stay, thank you!

Not as expected

It was represented as being an updated family friendly cottage which was not truthful. It did provide linens and , towels but we chose not to use theirs. This was our first VRBO experience so fortunately we brought our own. There were utensils for cooking and eating meals but the items provided for cooking, eating and drinking were completely ridiculous, inadequate. and difficult to use which made the stay uncomfortable. The utensils were child sized utensils, cheap plastic plates which were scratched and stained, a small, damaged skillet, a damaged badly scratched up 2 handle pot, two small pots. A non-functionable oven. The charcoal grill was rusty on the outside, full of ashes and dirty aluminum foil from previous guests. There was debris from previous tenants, old leftover siding, rusty metal stools on the porch. The floor was filthy so shoes were a must at all times, After two days being in the cottage we were all having difficulty with sneezing and sinus issues and we discovered the problem was a filthy, filthy filter in the large floor air vent in the dining table spot. The filthy filters were especially shocking because there were multiple replacement filters in the only small closet with a hanging rod but due to the filters and other objects we could not use the closet. Yes we took picutres. Not what we expected at all.

I truly enjoyed my stay! The ONLY thing I didn't care for was the air freshner. I was allergic to the particular scent. So I just removed it to outside. Otherwise everything was great!

Property was perfect for a small family. We really enjoyed our stay at Ocean Lakes …convenient booking & access to property. Owners had quick responses to all of our questions. Best of all they allowed our two year old labrador retriever. He had an amazing time!
