"I chose the Excelsior for its proximity to the train station, as I was arriving and leaving by train and also did an excursion by train to the Certosa nearby (which I highly recommend). It also was close enough to all of the other sights to be walkable. The room was spotlessly clean. Also, the city map provided by the hotel was excellent! Tourist maps often do not label all streets, or use printing so small that they are not user-friendly, but this one was great."

"B&B on huge comital estate down very long gravel drive (or lane) and restaurant is nearby. Delicious home-grown produce, fresh eggs and home-made pasta were served. Restaurant not open Monday and Tuesday but we were given a lovely snack on Tuesday we arrived. And as we were leaving we saw a baby owl in tree!"

A notre arrivée ce n’est pas la suite qui nous a été attribuée car ne l’av Pas autorisé à vendre cette chambre au prix où nous l’avons réservé. Après 3h30 d’échanges entre hôtel.com, l’hotel et moi, nous avons fini par intégrer la chambre ( supplément de la chambre prise en charge par Hôtel.com qui était en tord). Le séjour était magnifique. "Absolutely loved our stay here. It's a former palace and the room was huge with a wonderful patio. They had a excellent breakfast, the staff was awesome (shout out to Martina and Paolo). Would stay again in a second. The city is very walkable and Martina and Paolo were incredibly helpful with restaurants and sights. We did not want to leave."
