Everything was clean, beach was always being cleaned up, ocean was fairly calm, scenery was stunning, food is rates 8/10, staff were very nice, stayed DC ocean view room and the over the water bungalow. Bungalow was super awesome just very expensive. Only odd thing was I didn’t feel the bar tenders cared much about tipping them. I’m sure they were grateful but in other countries the bar tenders really went out of their way for those who tipped. Only other downside is the ran out of beer and captain a couple of nights. All in all outstanding trip

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our first trip to Antigua and stay at Royalton CHIC Antigua exceeded every expectation! Ignore the negative reviews and go with an open mind. The resort is smaller, peaceful, relaxing, and far more personal than the huge crowded all inclusives we usually visit. Our clean third-floor room overlooked the quiet pool, and the sunsets were absolutely unreal. Photos truly do not capture Antigua’s beauty. The staff was kind, responsive, and incredibly accommodating. Anytime we needed our minibar refilled, it was handled quickly. What impressed me most was how seriously they took my severe shellfish/seafood allergies. Every restaurant and buffet asked about allergies, and servers reassured me meals were prepared carefully. I have NEVER felt safer eating anywhere, even in the US. The highlight of our trip was CHEF FRANCIS. After meeting him during Antigua Night and complimenting both his food and karaoke skills, he surprised our group with a complimentary private dinner. It was honestly Michelin-level. Every dish was perfection, including filet, chicken skewers, scalloped potatoes, and banana flambé. One person in our group adds salt and pepper to EVERYTHING and didn’t touch either shaker. That says it all! Huge thank you as well to Jenin and bartenders Jayson, Diane, and Rachel for making our stay unforgettable. We also explored Antigua with an amazing local driver, Kareem Benjamin, who showed us St. John’s, Jolly Beach, Shirley Heights, and Galleon Beach where we snorkele

If you are looking for peace and tranquility, this is the place to be. PROS: 1. Very chilled and laid back - truly a getaway from the hustle and bustle. 2. The place is beautiful, nice finishes and design taste. 3. Loved the room service amenity - no charge (unlike other resorts) and the wait time was not bad. 4. Speaking on just the room as I was in, it was pretty good - clean, up-to-date. Bed extremely comfortable, size good enough. 5. The entertainment with the dancers was really awesome - the dancers are great so I will give that to them. CONS: 1. There is no “night-life”! So if you looking for party and fun, Everything is done pretty early. 2. Food is very tasty, but options are very limited, especially the buffet, you need way more variety and/or a different selection daily. The restaurant portions were small and they ran out of certain food quickly. 3. The reservation process at the restaurant also needs significant improvement - specifically the Caribbean Haven. We traveled 32 deep - made reservations for the Haven, and when we got there, they told us they didn’t have us down. So some of us had to wait a while and some even missed out on the oxtail dinner. How?? All in all - I’ll give it a 7 out of 10. The aura is definitely different than other resorts I’ve stayed at. It’s best to go with a loved one to enjoy quality time away, but if you are looking for a good time, don’t have high expectations because you may leave there just a little disappointed.

The resort had some positives, but overall the experience was mixed. The pool area was very nice, and the beach views were beautiful and relaxing. The entertainment was also surprisingly good and helped make the evenings enjoyable. The rooms were decent and generally comfortable, but there were noticeable issues with cleanliness and quality. The towels felt very cheap, and some even had stains on them, which was disappointing for a resort stay. The food quality was another letdown, as many of the meals lacked flavor and consistency. The staff experience varied. Some employees were pleasant and helpful, while others seemed unfriendly and not very welcoming. Customer service could definitely be more consistent. Overall, the resort has potential because of its location, pool, and entertainment, but improvements to the food quality, housekeeping standards, and customer service would make a big difference.

The biggest disappointment was the “pool view” room, which was clearly obstructed. The view was mostly blocked by trees and structures, so it didn’t match what was advertised at all. I also specifically requested a king bed and was given a double queen instead, which was frustrating and not addressed. Service was noticeably slow, and while I understand it may have been affected by Election Day staffing, it still impacted the overall experience. There didn’t seem to be enough staff to keep things running smoothly. The food was okay—nothing terrible, but nothing memorable either. For a resort at this price point, I expected much better quality and variety. Entertainment was also underwhelming. The vibe just wasn’t there, especially compared to other resorts in this category. On a positive note, the property itself is visually nice and well-maintained, but unfortunately that wasn’t enough to make up for the other issues. Overall, I wouldn’t return based on this experience.

While the resort and scenery are absolutely beautiful, the level of customer service in some areas detracts from the experience. We think that we probably should’ve listened to the reviews that complained about the service here and stayed at another resort. On our first full day we returned to our room to find that it had not been serviced at all. After a candid conversation with Guest Services, that was no longer an issue and they (Shanika and Tracy) went above and beyond to try to ensure that we were having a better experience. We dined at all the resort restaurants and ordered room service. The food was tasty, however don’t expect American portion sizes (except at Pescari which is at an additional cost). Our favorite restaurant was Olympus, which serves Mediterranean food. Overall it’s not clear if the staff pay attention to detail concerning food restrictions and allergies. On 3 separate occasions (twice with room service and once at the restaurant Vespa), it seems staff ignored our asks concerning our food (no cheese or pork). Perhaps the staff could benefit from training on this. Overall it was a good experience but I highly doubt I’d return to this resort.

Great resort perfect location! Beach was beautiful stunning breathtaking and not too busy! Room was cleaned regularly. A lot of mosquitoes get in room (so bring your fly zapper!) *Buffet Food* on the resort was mediocre(we left to get local food most of the time). but the Havens grill restaurant on the resort was DELICIOUS(ordered oxtail & mahi mahi) both👍👍 also the jerk chicken at the food truck was amazing ! Service for drinks is slow but if you’re assertive it’s a bit better. The foam party was so much fun!!! Then Mr. Brown down on the beach gave us a tour of the island which was amazing to see the different beaches !!! I would come back here it was a lot of fun best vacation ever !!

The Royalton CHIC is a stunning resort, however there is room for improvement. The check in and check out staff were abrupt and not at all what would be expected of a Front of Service. I felt rushed at check in and 3 inexperienced young ladies were all speaking at once. No real happy friendly hello. On check out staff member was abrupt and again not what would be expected of a 5 star hotel. The unsung heroes were the cleaners, maintenance staff and gardeners. They kept the Resort immaculate. Superb choice of Restaurants but Elements buffet, apart from breakfast choice was poor, so make sure you reserve at Hunters, Olympus, Vespa, Haven. There needs to be more sun Parasols. Enough beds but not enough shade.

We loved our stay at the Royalton Chich hotel. The property was very nice and clean and had many amenities. The rooms are nice and specious and the beds are very comfortable. My stay at the Chic Royalton was amazing check in and out was seamless with great help with front desk clerk Aja! She was a Gem and made my stay memorable. The room upon check did smell mildewing but staff acted immediately to accommodate and the food from the coffee shop was good, buffet was mediocre, Vespa’s had the best food option and Olympus appetizer were really good!! Hunt steak was underwhelming and food came out warm and took a while. Overall experience was 8/10 highly recommended. All inclusive food isn’t always the best so explore options off of the resort to maximize experience in Antigua.

Overall I had a great experience at the Royalton Chic Antigua. The Fit Team was fantastic. I loved the daily aquafit! The Vibe Team did a great job keeping the atmosphere lively. For food there were a few areas that could be improved. I really enjoyed the chicken parm at Vespa, but the pasta sauce could have been better, and the cacio e Pepe sauce wasn’t great. The breakfast buffet was very good with lots of options, and the flank steak and mashed potatoes at the steakhouse were excellent!

This property is gorgeous. The views are breathtaking. The food was amazing. The service started out quite slow but improved throughout the trip. The bartender Richy was amazing!! Evening entertainment was entertaining! Always something to do if you wanted.

The staff was very accommodating the beach is beautiful. It was like home away from. The rooms are spotless and fridge is always stocked. Everyone is very nice but Ersa goes above and beyond she is very down to earth. Richie the bartender along with the others were fantastic. My family and I had a wonderful time and we are looking forward to visiting again. We also enjoyed the butler service. We also visited Shirley Heights, breathtaking views and the food and music was fantastic. We had a wonderful time.
